Hello,
had a couple questions on dating images for facebook. So I'll ask away and appreciate any feedback.
Do most people scrape with dating/free image sites for thumbnails? They are typically smaller than in size, about (90x90). The image size is quite small and quality isn't the best.
Then add a border, sharpen the image.
Or do you have a custom scraper for social networks/dating sites?
I've tried google images and I seem to get a lot of celebrities.

You can find free dating sites and just spend an hour or so going through profiles and saving the images. You can crop and resize later. Alternately you can hire someone to do this. I'm not above paying my girlfriend a couple bucks, or taking her out to dinner, in return for her scraping images for me all day.
You could use something like MediArachnid (posted in the Affiliate Marketing sub-forum) to scrape google images for pictures you can use in ads. I did a test last night with the phrase "gay man" and got a ton of useable stuff - despite getting more naked men kissing than I would have liked. At least it worked.
Thats worth a shot if you want to try something partially automated. You still need to sort, crop and resize.
*If anyone is wondering why I tested the scraper using the phrase "gay man", it's because in my experience when you're targeting women with dating offers, pictures of gay men seem to convert better than straight guys. Probably because they tend to be in better physical shape and dress well. Who knows. All I know is that it works.

I find them on blogs; search for like "hot girl blog" etc. Usually prescreened well.
Google Images reverse image search. Find an image you like but don't want to use the same? It'll search "similar images" for you.
ex. Let's say this chick does well: http://www.cavemancircus.com/galleri...cebook_011.jpg
The "similar images" section suggests:
http://bbsimg.pcpop.com/UpLoadImages...3ffa06d702.jpg
http://i32.tinypic.com/j9tvex.jpg
http://img4.cache.netease.com/game/2...02313a88da.png
You could then search those 3 images for similar images and find more images. Just make sure it's not a celebrity!
Or you can use the POF ad spy and take some images from there. Keywords like "dating", " single ", " need a sugar mommy? " have some good images.
It's some manual labor but you can scrape a few dozen fast.
Yeah but using images that you got from the Ad Spy isn't going to help, since someone else is already running them and chances are people will start to ignore your images faster that way. They've already seen them for a while after all.

Google search "tumblr" also works too. So basically type in the niche picture you want, ex. "redheads tumblr" and you'll find a bunch of images.
also go to porn sites, find ads that lead to "fuck my girlfriend" type sites or "emo sluts" and scrape the user profile pics. If they're working for them, they'll work for you.
