When running ads for adult web what is a good ctr?

Highest ad I have was .37 and I was profitable made 7 dollars that day on the campaign.
After a few months in adult (web only) I find my sweet spot at 0.3-0.4 banner CTR average and 45-50% lander CTR. Sometimes low CTRs can make good ROI but basically CTR rules 
I found that it highly varies depending on placement, GEO, banner style etc. and shouldn't be your main metric for optimizing.
E.g. the TopRight placements usually have a way lower CTR than the VideoA/B placements on the same site, at least from my experience.
Also, it's really easy to get a very high CTR by using "gimmicky" banners like chat requests, but usually conversion rate is way worse than with more straight forward ones.
So in the end what really matters is if the ad is making you money or not. Use CTR to kill complete duds earlier (let's say your avg CTR for a placement is 0.4 and your new ad has a ridiculously low CTR like 0.05%). Apart from that, focus on (statistically significant) EPC instead.

It really depends.. In-video placements might have CTRs as high as 5-10%, where a footer placement will be around 0.10%
Once you start running more traffic with different placements, styles, etc... you'll get a good idea on what to shoot for.
