BANNER Sources for LPs??

Besides making the on Photoshop or borrowing them from other people's LP. Where are some to go to places for LP banner creation? Basic Images to add to simple LPs like below:

There are a few banner creation programs out there - http://www.bannersnack.com/ , for example. They may be worth a look - you could always create a basic banner in there then add images and text in Photoshop.

Also, if you're looking for a specific element, Google is your friend - there's a lot of clipart out there. Remember to search for the file format you need - probably PSD. For example, "animated button psd" gets me tons of results, many of which would be very useful for banners

It never dawned on me to search for the file format I need! Simple things that I miss but that you shed some light on. I love this board. Thank you!

Hi, Caurmen, I just joined bannersnack and they just confirmed with me that I cannot create animated banners for mobile via their platform. (Their gif is not exactly animated and their swf won't work on mobile). I find their online platform to be quite user-friendly for newbie like me so I would like to continue to use their service. But is there any way to work around?

After I saved it as .gif, it turned out like this:

But what I really want is this: http://share.bannersnack.com/9E68BE6569B/buj52c9m but it doesn't seem like I can pull it right out.

Thoughts?

I'm afraid I don't use Bannersnack - I'm a hard-core Photoshop user.

Try contacting their support- they may be able to help out.

It's impractical to convert a SWF to a GIF like you want.

GIF images use frames. In your SWF you are doing fade effects and various things that will consume dozens to hundreds of frames in a GIF, leading to horrendous file sizes.

Either simplify things and use a GIF (and can do in Photoshop), or use SWF/HTML5.

http://html5maker.com/ is quite good for making animated stuff too.

Also, animation in mobile generally is quite simple because GIFs are universal, but SWFs won't work on iOS. HTML5 is cross platform but there are few entry-level traffic sources that will let you deal with rich media like that.

Thanks Caurmen and Zeno. I think one of my weaknesses is being too perfect! That's just impossible and I think as long as I get the shit out there, I can always tweak and test. The SWF files can look cool, but no one said this kind of presentation will work like magic, right? Thank you for the html5maker link, Zeno, it does look useful! Thank you for the tip!

By the way, what would you recommend to be the largest 320 x 50 banner file size? I have a couple of them which are around 196KB in gif format, too much fat? The smallest static .jpg one is around 22KB.

Hm, 200kb is a bit large. I'd try to trim that down a bit if you're running the campaign on carrier rather than mobile.
