Whats the difference between app vs mobile web traffic in terms of quality? Which usually converts better and why?
Ie. what is the reason between the difference?

I don't want to generalize because it depends on many factors like what app , demographics etc.
But in most cases WAP traffic tends to convert better.
The reason is because APP traffic gets a lot of accidental clicks since ads are placed in a way to be clicked as much as possible.
^^ Is completely true, but ALWAYS test both.
App traffic is good traffic for CPI offers (Cost Per Install, ie: more apps) since the user is clearly app user, especially if you can target niches of Apps.
ie: Candy crush will favor advertising within Apps over mobile-web traffic.
