I've been running this campaign for almost 2 years now, and since the beginning of September it has TANKed. I've been trying everything to get it profitable but nothing is working. The ROI has been so good for so long its frustrating I can't even get it profitable now. So yesterday I was lookiing at the stats closely and noticed that since september the clicks that prosper is registering to the LP compared to the clicks FB is reporting is WAY OFF.
I've been cloaking , so I was thinking that maybe the cloaker is fucked. So last night just direct linked to the landing page using prosper w/o the cloaker and these are my stats. 09/30-10/1
Pulled a report from Facebook showing clicks: 3,078 -- unique clicks: 2867
Prosper Landing page hits: 1654
At .70-.80 CPC that's like 1K down the drain.
Is anyone else having this issue?.. If it's not facebook over reporting then it must be on my end, but I don't know what it could be?
From the numbers you posted it looks like the problem is on your end.
Are you sure your servers are working 100% and not dropping clicks?
Try checking the web server logs for errors / closed connections or submit a ticket to the host.
Let me know if that's the issue.
FB is notorious for duplicate clicks. Is "Prosper Landing page hits", total or unique hits?
I had the same issues for like 2 weeks in September on 2 accounts. It's odd, it only happens on those 2 accounts. I checked my cloaker stats and am seeing a lot of duplicate and bot traffic coming from FB
Have you run a load test on your servers? That'd definitely be the first thing I'd recommend. Check if there are any problems there which might be killing your campaigns.

How is this?.. Looks like a lot of time outs.
That's definitively not good. You are losing half of your traffic.
What kind of hosting are you using?
I have a dedicated server with softlayer... any advice?
At this point you need to submit a ticket to them and ask what's wrong unless you want to hire someone on odesk.
It looks like there is something wrong with the webserver. Let me know what the host says when you show them the blitz.io result.
I used new hosting last night and today and am still getting a huge click discrepancy. It seems like the problem must be with FB over reporting real clicks. mehh
Just curious, how did the new host fair on the blitz test?
Then again, it sounds like you've had this in place for a while so it seems strange that something would suddenly mess up with softlayer .
I see another poster wrote about obvious bot activity. Are you seeing anything like that? I haven't done a ton of traffic on FB but did notice a little of this myself. Kind of wrote it off at the time as being the default way of the system, but I'm guessing not...
I dont get a ton of clicks so I doubt its a problem with the server not being able to handle the traffic. The only thing that makes sense to me right now is fake traffic.
Are you getting a lot of filtered clicks vs your real clicks? What do those numbers look like?
So I ran the same ads, tracking, everything with the cloaker, prosper, landing page to a different country and ALL of the clicks are registering . I must be getting clicked my click bots in certain countries.
Click bots exist, although I've never had trouble with them. People have been refunded for traffic by showing stats to Facebook (I think the very fact of the allegation is enough to make them refund). There is at least one example on this forum (can't remember which thread).
Whether this leads to a review of your account in general is another question.
