Please critique my app/product/service website (8)

Please critique my app/product/service website

For the last 6 months I've been working on our first product/service. Together with an outsourced development team we've developed an 'SAAS' solution with an app for iOS and Android which allows you to remotely monitor your children and/or employees (yeah yeah husband/wife too but you really shouldn't ) through a secured web account.

We know, it's not a new concept, but when we did some keyword research we were surprised by the amount of search volume for things like "spy mobile phone" etc. and we decided there could still be some opportunities. Fast forward six months and we have a working product, we want to improve it further (add whatsapp tracking, facebook, skype and viber) but I really wanted to get started with the bare bones version and generate some revenue and continue development with the profits made. We now have an average conversion of 2% and I think we should be doing much better, but it will take more testing and tweaking and an improved version with more functions will most likely help with this as well.

Site > http://www.mobilespyagent.com

I really would like to get some feedback and suggestions on the site, so please feel free to say what you think about it and where we can improve. I've seen it so much that I would really appreciate some fresh eyes to point out things that could/should be done better (not family and friends who all say it's nice and puurty - but actually haven't got a clue)

Please don't hold back! Brutal honesty is welcomed (ethics discussion not really)

Haha you touch on tracking husbands and wives, but actually I think that's where you would get most traction.

Your website is way too much. My eye doesn't know where to focus, and there is so much unused space. Make it simple. I would make your lander more generic, using lines like:

- Want to Start Spying on any Phone within the Next 5 minutes?
- View messages, calls, GPS locations, photos and more!
- Works on most smart phones.
- Download our app now.

Instead of focusing so much on mentioning employees and children.

Add few social proof widgets, some screenshots, a video and you are good.

I'll definitely run a test with a simpler more generic approach, and ditch the current image slider.

Thanks for your input, I will make sure to post the results here!

Haha i know what you mean, I cut a little corner there and it was a bit of a concession I needed to make in order to get the offsetted images to work. I agree it looks a bit off when you go fullscreen, but on more common resolutions you don't notice it that much. But I will definitely see if I can improve this as you're obviously not the only one browsing fullscreen or large res.

Keep 'em coming guys, all input is appreciated!

If I can say one word...

Maybe it is better instead of the generic iphone image on the site - to have the screenshot from
the inside of the app that you have on the right side, so people get interested by the image also...the iphone pic is too generic
in my opinion...and then just mention that it works with the majority of devices or
whatever you want to say.

When I am sold on something, I am sold on the "inside" info/pic...

But again, what do I know... ...

Two words: market segmentation.

For a product like this, I wouldn't design a one-size-fits-all lander: instead, I'd recommend creating a bunch of landers (and maybe even entirely different sites) focused on your different markets. Track kids, track employees, track spouse, etc.

Then split-test to see which market gives you the most traction initially, and run from there.

We definitely have that on the list, the main page does need a more generic approach as you don't want to exclude any customers (we already did by not targeting the husband/wife market haha)

Thanks!
