Worst advice ever....
I've made pulse work twice before. You need a large test budget and to come in with a high eCPM campaign for which you have your metrics down. With that said you can make money quite quick with them because of how much volume they have.
Here's my tip to success:
1. Get an account rep
2. Send them excel to bulk upload your campaigns
3. Split test images/text ads and channels
4. Split test ads, the ones that get high CTR tend to get more impressions
5. Play with your bids to find the sweet spot
6. Watch your refferers and ask to block underperforming placements
7. Track performance through time for day parting/week parting
8. Always have backup offers when your offer gets pulled or goes down

Anyone who doesn't already do really solid numbers as an affiliate or direct advertiser should stay away from Pulse. You're obviously not going to win getting paid $47 when another higher level pub is getting $80 direct . And if you are actually going to be creative and run something new, then it's just going to get ripped a week later once everyone sees you aren't pulling it down and that it's probably making money.
The smart thing to do is take what you see working on Pulse and bring it elsewhere where similar publishers are selling traffic, including direct buys. The reality is Pulse is only a solid traffic source for a handful of advertisers these days and everyone in this industry is spying on those ads already.

Pulse360 can be a beast working for you or against you...
You can definitely run through some serious bankroll fast, literally hit refresh and see your account balance drain every second.
I've had some huge successes on Pulse, here are some tips I can give you.
Don't run traffic unless you have a budget of at least a few grand to test...there are so many channels and variables to test and you don't want to give up
on a campaign without getting enough data. And if you only start with let's say $500 bucks your just going to burn that money.
Get a rep that will build you a Master Account, within the master account you can have several accounts.
CPC will vary depending on CTR history on your account and campaign, so split them up in different accounts for different verticals that way one bad campaign won't affect another.
Here's an example.
YourAccount_Master
YourAccount_Bizzop
YourAccount_Diet
YourAccount_SkinCare etc.....
This will allow you to run multiple campaigns on the same channels at the same time. Useful if you find a website that is profitable for you, you can scale out and push out other competitors.
I would suggest running your bids off high initially to get a high CTR. Some of the recommend bids are ridiculous... I'd say its typical to pay $1-$2+ average per click on popular channels to get decent traffic which will make it hard for you to run positive unless you really optimize like crazy. Majority of people profiting are running on very slim margins like spending $10k per day just to make $1k profit... And they are winning by doing it by targeting the right time of days and right days of the week.

Thanks for all the info, I signed up today and now kind of wish I had read this first since my budget is definitely more along the lines of $500 or less.
Oh well live and learn.

I will not open new thread because I just got small question for pulse360.
Is it possible to target URL's at pulse360? I think like that. I want to advertise on example.com and if they got that site in I can, I'm asking because I just made acc and I saw at targeting option only categories like Arts & Entertainment, Audience Targeting, Automotive,... and can only target like that.
Thanks in advance.

I only run direct offers and I work to negotiate traffic source exclusivity so nobody can rip my shit and use the same offer. Not everyone can do that though.

From my experience on pulse:
-You NEED to work with a rep there. There are tons of tweaks they can make on backend. Use a pixel and work closely with your rep when launching a campaign.
-CTR is super important on pulse. Bid for the top 1st or 2nd spot on a placement, ask your rep what you need to bid for top spots. CPC updates every few hours so if you can get a high CTR off the bat your CPC should come down pretty fast. Keep a close eye when bidding high, you can spend a lot of money very quickly on pulse.
-Make sure you can track conversions by day/hour and utilize their day parting.
-Do something unique. It's not going to be easy to compete against someone running the same ad and offer because they have historical CTR and most likely will always be paying a lower CPC. Try a bunch of different images/ad copy until you find what works then pause the rest.
