Hey guys,
Does anyone get this message when uploading GIFs to TrafficJunky?:
· This file type is not allowed. PLEASE SELECT ONE OF THE SUPPORTED FILE TYPES: .GIF .JPG .PNG AND TRY AGAIN
I've had this come up a few times and it's frustrating as hell.
I use gimp to create my gifs and sometimes gifreducer.com if they're quite big. Seem to work on other traffic sources fine but TJ is not liking it for some reason.
Cheers
I believe they have to be under 300K-500k each.... Make sure the size is correct..
Cheers! You mean under 300kb? Not understanding 'under 300k-500k'
Thanks anyway, I'll try under 300kb and see if that works.
First make sure GIFs are allowed in the spot you are uploading.
For example on PH they are allowed on main homepage cube but not on vid a & b.
Also make sure they are smaller than 300kb.
Here's what you need to keep in mind:
1) Under 300 kb
2) The correct dimensions
3) The right file format ( GIFs only in Animation Allowed Zones)
There's an error with the interface error messages, it will tell you GIF not allowed when the file size is too large. We'll get that fixed right away.
"There's an error with the interface error messages, it will tell you GIF not allowed when the file size is too large. We'll get that fixed right away."
That would be helpful for your users. Maybe saying 'Your file is too large' instead of '· This file type is not allowed. PLEASE SELECT ONE OF THE SUPPORTED FILE TYPES: .GIF .JPG .PNG AND TRY AGAIN'
Thanks!
Already sent a ticket to IT. Sorry about that guys!
Thanks for bringing this to our attention.
It's been fixed!
