Germany or UK or US? (11)
Hello. I'm thinking of starting running some ads on FB. Assuming I can have somebody translate ads into Germany, is running ads in Germany a good idea? I mean is each click on FB in Germany cheaper than US or UK? Or should I start in an English speaking country like UK or Canada?
What vertical? What networks are you with? What offers are you going to run? Your AM will ALWAYS give you better advice on how to profit than a thread like this. They NEED you to make money. We WANT you to make money. There is a difference. If UK is working for me I'm gonna tell you it's the worst thing ever. Test, test, test.
cpc depends on ctr
The cpc depends a lot more on your targeting and bidding and some luck w/ fb's algorithm than by country. Just going to have to choose one and launch.
Thanks for answering my questions. I've been doing POF for 1-2 months and was going to stay with POF for a while, but I've read so many success stories and eventually people move to FB or other traffic sources because they've never made any profits on POF. I mean I wouldn't mind focusing on POF for a while, but I have $4000 left and I won't even be able to try Facebook if I don't move now. I think POF is a learning place rather than a place you make profits and everyone should run campaigns 1-2 months on POF and then move on to other traffic sources.
coolnerd, you'll find fb alot harder and stressful I can tell you that. To me it doesn't sound like your ready but take it as a warning 
FB is good because once you have something that works it's easy to get volume , unlike POF.
However , make sure you stick to whitehat stuff as you start , cloaking / getting banned is really stressful.

You're right. I'm not completely ready for FB, although I've run some ads on FB back in 2011 and I wasn't doing any affiliate marketing back then. My fear is that I won't have any money left after 2-3 months on POF and I may have to take a break to get money to test FB. I have a full-time job, but I'm not making a lot of money and other bills to pay. If I continue with POF for 2-3 months, probably it'll be a long time before I could do FB.

Thank you for your advice. I guess I could get banned easily, so I'll stick to clean campaign.
Plenty of people hit profit on POF - we've had a couple of successes on that front reported recently. It's not a great source for volume, but you can definitely still make money there.
However, as bbrock says, FB's where the volume's at.
I'm sure there's plenty of money be made on POF.
