I'm throwing a meet up in Bangkok! Oct - 5th - 2013

Hello!

I'm currently taking a break to travel in Asia and decided to throw a meetup with Nickycakes in Bangkok for affiliates. Just networking and shooting the shit. Feel free to pick my brain about campaigns.

I know STM has a decent base in SE Asia and everyone's welcome to come. A few STM'ers will be in attendance including Kok Fai.

There's not a lot of affiliate events in Asia, and most of them are kinda peasant level tbh. Don't miss this event.

Saturday: October-5th-2013, 7pm
Where: Sukhumvit Soi 11, Angel City Diner

RSVP Here:

Just bought a last minute one way ticket to Thailand today, hell excited and look forward to meeting you guys!

Never been to Thailand before and it's been on my to-do list for too long.

If any Thailand pros could shed some light on how to stay in Thailand semi-long term, I'd really appreciate it.

So far I have (I'm Australian/Japanese btw):

1. Possibly buy a bus, train or plane ticket from Thailand to a neighbour country like Laos prior to flying from AU to prove to the airline that I'm not staying for over the 30 day visa exemption period. Bring a bank statement to prove funds too.

2. Apply for 60 day tourist visa (multi-entry optional) while outside of Thailand at a Thailand embassy, in Vientiane - Laos for example.

3. If needed, extend 60 day visa to 90 days at the immigration office in Bangkok.

4. ????

5. Profit.

Oh yeah, what about decent relatively cheap places with wifi to stay? Any suggestions would help a lot! I'm leaving in 4 days lol.

Man, most accommodation in Bangkok is relatively cheap. I love it there, I just came back a few weeks ago otherwise I'd be down. You'll have a ball.

1 I've flown into bangkok like 50 times, they never verify that shit.
2 Flying to like Singapore and extending visa at embassy there is an option.
3 use agoda.com to book hotels. theres one i like for $50 a night that's a great bang for the buck called Sacha Hotel Uno

http://www.agoda.com/asia/thailand/b...hotel_uno.html

Thanks for coming!

One way ticket to bangkok sounds pretty dangerous!

09-29-2013 01:33 AM #16 miax (Member)

@Stackman, don't you mean glorious?

09-29-2013 01:40 AM #17 stackman (Administrator)

Gloriously dangerous seems to be spot on

I love Bangkok, so many unique twists and turns. I got the smallest hotel for 2 days when i went, it was an inexpensive little place and ended up having an amazing rooftop pool/bar which we had to ourselves the whole time.

Count me in too!

It's actually a year since I met my g/f on Saturday.. What better way to spend it than with a bunch of affiliates in Bangkok? Ha. Looking forward to it!

(And I'm not that harsh. She can join us at Levels. )
