Goal Set! Ready For Action

Decided to create a follow along to hold myself accountable and motivated. I am focusing on dating on facebook.
Got a list of the top converting dating offers from my affiliate manager and have been messing around with different ads and lps.

Goal: $100 in profit per day running dating on facebook. After that, $1000 dollars a day.

Right now I am running international dating offers and have found some that convert.

This is one of my international campaigns targeting males over 30 with a reach a little over 1 million

Ended up making $11.20, so a little bit of profit.

Total spend $43.06
Total earned $42.10
Loss of: -$0.96

If I can get my cpc lower I can make a larger profit. But that is the problem, because cpc was 3-4 cents just two days ago and was 6 cents yesterday. Even though my ctr was a little higher yesterday.

I read somewhere that a tactic was to just set your bid high and let the cpc fall by itself with a high ctr. But even then my cpc still swings to much back and forth. So I will try test test a couple of things when it comes to bidding.

Question: Do you guys do dayparting on facebook at all? If you do, do you put the campaign on pause or just lower your budget and bring it back up when needed (i heard pausing messes with your cpc)?

I'd recommend against pausing on FB in general - it can do all kinds of crazy things to your ads or campaign.

So, if you want to decrease impressions (for example during unprofitable hours), do you decrease your budget or max cpc instead of pausing the ad?

9/18
Total spend: $45.81
Total Revenue: $73.50
Profit:$27.69

Testing about three campaigns at the moment. My revenue came from one single international campaign. This one was always a break even campaign or a little below. So I swiped a couple of landing pages and after implementing them I immediately turned profitable with this campaign.

So, right now instead of swiping other people's landing pages and profiting from their hard work, I am going to start creating my own landers. I have seen first hand what type of landers work for this campaign, so I can create my own.

I also need to do a lot of work in getting a higher ctr. Yesterday I was paying about 4-5 cents per click but if I dont watch my ctr this campaign can go south fairly quickly.

Yeah, just decrease your budget. Be careful though it also works like this:

You get a campaign approved at 12 P.M. PST (3 hours behind EST and facebook server time)
with a budget of let's say $40. Facebook will the spend $20 as fast as possible because that's the
daily budget, so it needs to spend it considering it's already halfway through the day.

That's been my experience.

Cheers
