Was wondering if anybody could give me some advice. I started doing dating on Facebook 12 days ago. I've been running 3 different offers. EPC starts off great, CTR is moving up and CPC is going down. Offer 1 as soon as I hit 5 leads it stops converting and tanks. I switch to Offer 2 on the same ad and then it starts converting again.... until I hit 5 leads. What was profitable is now negative. Offer 3 I've stayed on for 3 days. Day 1, I hit 21 leads.... cool. Day 2 I hit 21 leads again. Could not get passed 21 and ended up losing money trying to get over that hump. Today I've hit 3 leads but then nothing for hours. The leads usually come in at a rate of 5 to 10 minutes per lead until it just seems to stall. CTR and CPC always hold which has me so confused.
Right now this is my biggest hurdle that I can't figure out how to get over. I'm running on one network currently which I plan to test somewhere else if I can find the same offers. I asked my AM to check to see if quality was good but was told I needed to be hitting the daily cap first. Is it possible the Advertiser is throttling me?
Thanks,
Leeches
You're talking about a pretty insignificant amount of leads per day. You need way more data to properly assess this situation. You're not getting scrubbed from the advertiser if you're only sending this amount of leads.
That's weird bro give Facebook a ring they are usually helpful.
Really though, this is the prime example of why everybody should be aware of statistical significance.

They're not throttling you. Sounds like you sent about 50 leads to them, which is very insignificant.
Also, try to look at your stats over a longer period of time. 3 days with a small number of leads is not going to tell you what you need to know to optimize.
numbers are way too small / statistically insignificant. If you're not gaining traction across multiple different offers, the issue most likely lies with the campaign and not with the offers
You guys are right. After going through all my data, talking to my AM... I think it is the campaign itself. Facebook will send a couple of hours of traffic that converts like mad even with high CPC... but then will send 2 hours of traffic that doesn't convert at all. Using keyword interest i have 6-10 items that are related but slightly different on the camp. Along with some other things selected that could route FB to send traffic in unwanted spots. Wow... it seems like such a duh moment but it took me 2 days to figure that out. Setting up new camps now to find where the leak is. Thanks for the help!
If your demo size is too small that would bring the offer burnout possibility. What demo size are you targeting?
people need to stop throwing around this whole "offer burnout" when we're talking about such low volume. I've been running 200-300 leads / day for the past 2 years on a "small" traffic source to a somewhat niche demo to the SAME offer. You can spend your entire affiliate career suspecting that you're getting scrubbed, or the advertiser is throttling you, but these are not solutions. If you really think that, go test another offer. IF you're running 20 leads / day, keep working on scaling to more statistically significant data and then reassess the data. Don't focus on profitability immediately, it blinds you.
Sure, but facebook has millions of people, so unless you are showing the ad to a really tight demo, or showing millions of impressions a day, I doubt
it is ad or offer burnout.
You also could run stats and track duplicate users.
