I understand that you go into source of the Landing Page and that HTML is the landing page.
I can save the page to my desktop with CMD+S on my Mac
From there I should be using software? This is where I will change the Urls to my Own and Photos
Then I would use FileZilla to put the LP onto my VPS?
Then when uploading my creatives, they should link to the LP, and the LP will have links to the offer.
I need help understanding which software to use. And and how to on how to upload the LP to my server
Thanks
I think I replied on this in another thread, but the short version is this: you'll need to use a text editor of some kind to modify the existing HTML code.
HTML's reasonably simple to learn if you don't already know it: I've heard good things about http://htmlandcssbook.com/ as a learning tool for that.
Honestly, don't.
Spy, then take what you've learned from spying and re-create your own. Direct ripping won't help you even if the short term!
Yeah - it's worth remembering that a lot of affiliates include code to make ripping harder, or even to redirect your clicks to their pages. You have to be reasonably expert to spot and remove it, too.
Better to take the general idea and create a lander from scratch - that way you can use visual tools like Adobe Muse, AND you don't have the risk of running malicious code.
You could be sending a portion of your traffic to a page for months and never know it. Don't rip, the sneaky ones will get you.
Funny, I just started a thread on how to do the exact opposite (stop people from copying your work).
If you're totally new to setting up sites, go and get something super basic from a free css templates site. Here's one: http://www.freecsstemplates.org/
They're also likely to be commented so you have a bit of text in the HTML code to let you know where certain things go.
Self promo: I also have a free page you can use here http://www.viperchill.com/ultimate-squeeze/
Don't worry about clicking the Facebook or Twitter button. Here's direct access to the user guide: http://www.viperchill.com/ultimate-squeeze-guide/
There will be some stuff there that simply isn't relevant to you (like the opt-in box) but it should be easy to see where to take that stuff out.
Then, as others have said, look into learning HTML yourself or find someone who will design LP's for you (more pricey, but much faster). Ripping is really not the way to go and even those who do it probably won't admit it here.
Learn the basic Fundamentals of CSS and HTML by playing with Code and reading tutorial on w3scools. Nothing too in-depth. Dont go agonizing on how line-height separates or what are the best em ratios of <h1>..<h6> Those details won't lower CPC or raise EPC. I have learned that any detail I am focusing on must be directly relate to these two.
Do this for 4-7 days about 12 hours a day. Remember to code what you just learn and learn to tinker, break, and take it apart. Find out why it works and why it does what it does. Get productively curious. Ask and answer questions to yourself CONSTANTLY, and things that totally stump you - don't hesitate to ask for help, google for help, or just keep on trucking because it WILL come together for your mind eventually.
After you have the bare essentials, watch this IPyxel video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5INh_...Qd_6ncpRiTRwML
Code the LP along with Aziz. Pause and restart the youtube video constantly. Move by 10 second increments to note all the steps. Again, get curious and go further. Instead of just follwoing the steps, note what happens when you do otherwise: press this button here, highlight this, or select that button. Is there a way it can be done faster? There will be a steep learning curve as I am assuming you are new to Dreamweaver but 2-3 days of 12 hour days should be enough to get your bearings.
All-in-all in about 7-10 days you will be able to rip, edit, or create LPs at an acceptable pace. Your speed will grow exponentially with each iteration.
Note: Don't neglect the other stuff. In addition to this, you are still doing your affiliate marketing daily.
Just in case you haven't seen this, Stack That Money also has an index of literally hundreds of LPs you can use, many of which are ready to go.
