Hey guys,
I see ads with really nice fonts and im trying to figure out what the best fonts to use are for ads? Any tips?
You mean headline?
Generally I use IMPACT & ARIAL. I remember I read somewhere that these are the proven font types that will help in conversion.
Directly from Cashvertizing:
"FACT! At 12 points and larger, Ariel is the easiest to read font. Under 12 point, use Verdana."
But it does depend on where you use it, and what angle is. You might find that more casual fonts work better if you are going for an amateur angle.
I've often found Comic Sans works surprisingly well. Makes the ad look amateur as hell, which can be very good.

helvetica.
arial is microsucks shit attempt at duplicating helvetica...
however, try making your stuff look GHETTO.
ghetto looking seems to convert better.
As a designer, I have to purposely make it look like shit.
with no design skills, i'm sure many of you guys will have no problems making stuff look like shit :-)
what @dconstrukt said.
I always want to reach for a nice classy font like helvetica, or one i search for. BUT bad fonts and bad designs often work best.
The most important thing though is that your font is legible, based on size and easy on the eyes. ie: grafitti fonts are usually a bad option
Comic sans 4 lyfe!!
^^ you make me sick.
lol... i'm sure you'll be fine after a lil smoke
