Why Hello!
I am new here. I am brand new to mobile, Adult and Facebook, but I am jumping right in, head first and feeling good. Feeling really good.
I want to share my experience from the perspective of someone completely surrounded by information that is somewhat overwhelming, and show those who are having trouble processing it all a clear way to get started. Because I am there, but once I jumped in, at least it begun...right? We'll see...
So, fellow STMers, help me help! While I am creating this as a means for people to go here, read some info and just get started, I also want to make this as inspiring as it can be through successful results. Let's show everyone that anything is possible. I have very little experience with mobile, adult etc. But I have read quite a bit and I have just started my FIRST mobile/Adult campaign. I will walk you through it and I am confident these saavy STMers will jump in to fill in the gaps where I cannot answer a question.
Follow along in order to learn a concise way to get results. Here is a detailed list of what I would recommend, from my short experience so far, doing to get going immediately.
1. Use the tools in front of you (STM trackers) to find out what works. Study these ads. Sign into the networks they are advertised across, pornhub, redtube, or whatever you're advertising on and study the ads.
2. Think of an angle. I am determined to not copy anyone...completely anyway. I am going to look at what everyone is doing and I'm going to do it better. Because that's what wins LONG TERM.
3. Install your trackers. Prosper 202 is a good place to start.
4. Design some ads. Get your copy. Get in your networks (listed below). Get Started. Just DO IT. Just go put something together and get started after doing some initial du-diligence. Period.
5. From what I've read, test your ads based on 5-6times the amount of the payout. $4.00 Payout= $24.00 of testing...Gather info, make changes accordingly, go again.
NOW, here is where I'm at. At this point, I have some questions that hopefully, when answered, will help all of you reading this thread.
My FIRST ads are up on TJ, one in SE, one in US.
Here are my stats:
USA:
CTR: .26%
Landing Page Click Through: 50%
Total Impressions: 33,115
Total Clicks:85
CPM: .27
Total Spend $8.9
Conversions: 1
Revenue Generated $1.20
Now, from where I'm standing, these stats fucking ROCK until you get down to the conversion. STM...WTF is going on here? I'm running BeNaughty in US on pornhub...why does it suck so huge if everything else is rocking?
Here I can only assume my option to increase conversion would be to switch the offer...Obviously getting cost down would be good, but if this happens to you guys, what would be your next move? Different network, time of day or just different offer altogether? I'm really curious about the mentality of the alternatives here because all i can think to do is try a different network or change the offer, but the only one that really makes sense is to change the offer out...Thoughts?
2. Sweden Campaign. This is crazy how different these stats are. The only difference here with the way the ad is set up is the landing page. All else is the same as far as set up.
CTR: .17%
Landing Page Click Through: 9%
Total Impressions: 43,402
Total Clicks:75
CPM: .237
Total Spend $10.29
Conversions: 0
Revenue Generated $0.00
Okay. This one has a good CTR from people clicking the actual ad, but the amount of people that make it to the offer isn't even enough to test the offer. So here, I'm assuming with 9% of people going to the offer from the landing page, that I need to change the landing page before I can make any assumptions about the offer. So I will do that and get back.
I will keep everyone updated. Before the end of next week I plan to have generated at least $100 in profit in 1 single day. Hold me to it

I'd strongly recommend split-testing offers right from the start - either similar offers, or the same offer across several different networks.

^^ I think Caurmen means testing the same offers from various affiliate networks. You will often find that the same offer converts differently and payouts can vary somewhat.
I agree as well that it's a good idea to test different offers from the start unless there is a standout offer (PM your AM). That way you can gather more info and optimise faster, rather than testing one offer and finding it doesn't work and moving on to the next etc.
Good start btw. I wouldn't jump to any conclusions about your campaigns though, since it's been only one day and you can't tell anything from just 1 conversion.
Yep, exactly. Testing the same offer across a bunch of different networks is a solid way to increase your EPC - offers convert very differently network to network.

I am still going. Hit some bumps and am working out the kinks trying to figure out why prosper isn't working... Have followed detailed instructions for postback URL's etc. but am not getting any activity...
However, I need to check with you guys to see if this is right...My Buzzcity stats say that my CTR is ridiculousy high. I've never heard of anything like this. And I am not getting any clicks to the actual offer so i can't imagine these could be correct. Can you guys take a look and let me know if you think there is an error on Buzzcity's end? 1.31% CTR seems too good to be true, no?
If not, I have 50 clicks today alone and not 1 to the offer according to my F5media account, zero conversions... What to do?
