Quality Difference at Aff Networks & How to Get Approved

From what i can gather .... finding a good traffic source (with a great AM there to help) seems to be the most important thing, but working with the right networks (and rep) and choosing good offers is also key to successful campaigns as well. If so, what's the best way to start if you're a completely new with no track record?

Is is just a matter of starting off with the networks that are not so tight with approving applications? I was wondering .... are networks which are tight with their approvals necessarily better, or in the same (but opposite) way, are the offers from networks that automatically or easily approve applicants not as good?

I'd recommend applying to the top networks, but spending some time on the application - and on your website if you're listing one. Definitely mention you're a member of Stack That Money.

Once you've applied, get in touch with the reps for those networks on STM and tell them you've applied.

Even if you get rejected from some networks initially, you've then got a contact point. You can build up some experience with other networks and reapply later, and you'll be well ahead of the game because they already know who you are.

Everyone knows that persistence is the name of the game in AM. If you can show that you've persisted and learned, you'll look like a good prospect.

@caurmen - Thanks for your feedback. I totally hear you about persistence.

With regards to a website ... i presume most AM campaigns are run with dedicated sites/LPs that are specifically made for the offer/camp. When networks ask for an applicants website, are they asking to see this page, or are they looking to see a well published (high PR etc) blog or authority site that's related to a vertical you want to push? And if you're looking to run camps by Direct Linking, it's not necessary to have an existing site, so what's the significance of them asking about your website?

They are wanting YOUR website, not anything to do with your campaigns. Treat AM as a business. An online business not having a website? Ludicrous! Just make something simple that has your company name and some contact details, it need not be a 10 page site. Choose a company name for yourself and buy the domain name, then you're all set.

Perfect, cheers Zeno. I guess it makes total sense that they just want to find out a bit more about who they'll be working with.
