CTR + Bid.... Tip

Hey all,

Now this might not be of use to some or may already no but from my testing of late i'm finding some unusual shit relating to my ctr and bids!

So usually I go straight in and bid $1 and run a fair few clicks to determine best CTR ads.... like most I assume? This last week my campaign running on a broad demo have not been great below 0.100% let's say *PAUSED*

However, I had a mess about with bids (lowered from the start) on a fresh campaign, same demo etc etc etc and my CTR doubled!!

Now yes the volume is not as much as bidding $1 but it's constant.

My thinking is because of the lower bid i'm sitting further down the ad board (on the right) but this could be a good thing in some cases.... thats my only explanation.

Anyone seen similar or whats your views?

P.S I know some people don't really care about ROI, i'm not getting at that i'm just pointing out the CTR

In my case, FB has just gone mental. There's no pattern I can even identify.

I honestly have tried everything: high bids, low bids, high budget, low budget, high CTR's, low CTR's and everything in between and I have no fucking clue what's going on. /rant.

What I'm trying now is submitting several copies of one ad with lower budget in the hopes that the CTR's are higher while maintaining volume. To early to know if it works, but so far does not look like is working.

I'll update if I get some valid data on this.

I agree mate it's all over the shop. One example I had was 1 ad seeing 0.100%+ getting like $0.50 per and another ad at 0.040% ish getting half the costs of the higher CTR ad.... work that fooker out. Alright yes the lower CTR ad died a sorry death as they wouldn't award much traffic for it but thats besides the point
