Javascript Obfuscation causing AVG Virus Alert on my landers????

Hey stackers, I just realized my domain got flagged by AVG and Im wondering why my CTR suddenly dropped as well as conversions when restarting a campaign from a while back. I did make some changes to my landing page, mainly javascript obfuscation and encryption of my links..etc. I dont know the details since I outsource my coding to my VA and I basically gave her a bunch of codes and tips that I got from the STM forum here... so anyone know how to get around the AVG flag?

Ive submitted my URL to AVG for removal of the flag...I guess if you submit your URL to them someone will review your page for security reasons.

Given the fact that AVG is one of many anitviruses.. I wonder if I should just bite the bullet and replace my URL's altogether (along with tracking data transfered,etc)....and Im leaning towards this.. however, i'd like to know how stackers are using this "obfuscation" method or something similar to code encryption without getting hit? In the case I was reading an older post and its no longer a viable approach, what other steps can i take to keep my pages away from prying eyes (as much as humanly possible). I do see other pages out there with obscure code for the affiilate url's...is there a way to keep atleast your affiliate links masked?

As for the entire code on a lander..One thing I can think of is to minify the entire code so that atleast an average user will not be able to understand the code, but that wont do much for an above average spy.

How about the "no right click" scripts, I assume this is ok since its not obfuscation (what a strange word aye?). Anway, if you had to do it all over again, what would you do to protect your page without getting slapped around by the antivirus world.

no real way to protect your page from an adept coder, what takes days to setup security wise can be ripped in minutes by someone who knows what they are doing. Knowledge of traffic source / exclusive offer / custom rates is how to truly protect a campaign imo, I stopped wasting time trying to secure my LPs a while ago, copy pasters gonna paste and I'm still gonna make more than them

Yep what keepitsimple said.

Get a new domain and don't use obfuscation , at the end of the day it's not worth it.

People who want to copy the lander will do anyway.
