One of my servers was having issues the a couple of days ago off and on for a couple of days which meant several hours of complete downtime.
I was away from my computer when this happened so I wasn't able to manage my campaigns.
Since then, my Facebook traffic volume has dropped down to a fraction of what they were getting before. Does anyone know if Facebook lowers the flow of traffic when it detects non-responsive URL's of ads? And if so, if it ever gets turned back on and/or how long this takes?
The dramatic decrease in traffic could be due to something else, but just thought it's a bit odd that it happpened to occur right at the time of my downtime issues...
I'd also be interested to know this. It seems like the kind of thing they might well do...
If they detect a non responsive url they usually retro the ad or auto pause it. Sounds to me like competition, up your bid.
Traffic has been coming in again, although at still quite a bit lower than it had been. I'm thinking that it's a combination of Facebook pausing and/or slowing down non-responsive URL's automagically, and increased competition.
