Explanation on c1 c2 c3 c4 placeholders
Hey everyone still trying to get a grip on tracking. I making progress after reading all the guides which are very helpful. However, I haven't found anything that explains what the c1 c2 c3 c4 placeholders are for in prosper. Can someone elaborate on this for me so I can have a better understanding of their purpose?

They are variables that you can use however you want, e.g. if you run banner ads, you could pass the name of the banner to c1.

Yeah, you can put whatever you want for c variables. Let's say you're testing out different placements and different banner sizes. You might name c1 as your placement, and c2 as your banner size. So your tracking link would look something like this: http://mytracking.com/xx?...keyword=...der&c2=300x250.
You can put whatever you want into c variables- it'll help you be more organize when you analyze your stats

the c1-c4 tags are optional in prosper and they can be viewed using the "Overview >> Group Overview" tab in p202.
One way I've seen it used is in Search/PPC Marketing. For example:
c1: Campaign Name
c2: Ad Group Name
c3: Text Ad
Then you can pull up a report in the Group Overview by doing: "Group By 'c1' Then Group by 'c2' Then group by 'keyword'"
Here's another example for Display advertising/Media Buys:
c1: Campaign Name
c2: Site name
c3: Placement
c4: Banner Ad
The c1-c4 tags can be used for anything your heart desires so I hope that gives you ideas

Thank you so much for the responses.
Ok so to clarify. When I am inputting my affiliate link into the "add a campaign" tab in prosper I would add the c1 c2 c3 c4 at the end of that link?
ex: http://myofferlink.com/?a=xxxx&c=xxxx&s1=Campaign1&s2=[[subid]]&c1=[[c1]]&c2=[[c2]]&c3=[[c3]]
Then when I "get link" in prosper I fill in c1 c2 c3 spots with the actual text to describe the ad?
What are some things those spots my be filled in with when advrtising on POF?

In the #3 Campaigns / Add a Campaign section, by adding the c1-c4 tags, you're sending those tags to your affiliate network. I wouldn't recommend this unless there is a specific reason that you need to send it to your affiliate network.
Remove the c1-c4 tags. This is perfectly fine for the 'Affiliate URL' section:
Code:
http://myofferlink.com/?a=xxxx&c=xxxx&s1=Campaign1&s2=[[subid]]
When you use #7 Get Links, you can add the c1-c4 tags so that the data gets stored in your prosper database, but not sent to your affiliate network.

Thank you! That is exactly what I needed to know.
Ok now my question evolves ; ) . After I get my link from prosper, The next step would be to take that link and input it into my traffic source right?
For Example:
http://mypropsersite.com/tracking202...id=638&t202kw= <--I then bring this link over to my traffic source and input it as the URL for each ad.
What does it look like when you specify between each ad using the prosper link?
Ex:For ad 1=
http://mypropsersite.com/tracking202...2kw=Hotgirlad1
For ad 2=
http://mypropsersite.com/tracking202...2kw=Hotgirlad2

You can also go to the "Analyze >> Keywords" tab and it will show up there too.
