I have a very well built up old account. The ads I run are totally clean, no cloaking, and there is no shady stuff going on with the links or LPs. I don't submit images that have been retro disapproved. How likely is a ban? Is it inevitable with dating?

All depends on your ads, but you can definitely run it for a long time with no troubles. Always keep backup accounts.
