Hey guys
How do you think of media buying sumo by Gauher?
Don't have a clue about the product. However, I'm willing to bet that you will have more of a chance being successful with media buying if you read whats on STM then apply it. As opposed to spending $997 on a magic bullet "solution".
Let me know if you want to take on my bet
.
Making money in affiliate marketing isn't about knowing that 1 weird trick or secret.
It all boils down to testing and persistence.
I don't think a static course can offer more info than the forums which are updated every day.
If I were you I would spend that money buying traffic.
Just me 2 cents.
I'm going through the course at the moment. There's a lot of content - over 10hrs of videos, there's also PDF transcripts if you prefer reading.
Mostly newbie stuff but it does give you a good overview of the the media buying landscape.
For someone like me that likes to know where I fit in the overall scheme of things it's helpful.

its all what you do with the info.
just buying it isn't gonna make money magically appear in your lap. :-)
Got the product from somebody else.
Not that much new info or interesting content at all.
Well... at least I didn't pay $1k... more like $20.
If you have 1000$ most of the time its much better to spend it on traffic than buying one product..
Even if the guy that created the product knows exactly working campaigns he will not write it down in his guide.. so you basically will get some of the information in this forum, structured in some way, most of the time if you are member here it will not even worth 20$..
You are great risk to loss your time and your money..
About the gurus - Don't listen what they talk about, watch what they do, there is a very wide gap between those two..
Some people are sharing it in some black hat forums... As usual...
Oh man guys, these programs are shite.
Way more often then not it's regurgitated college-styled lessons teaching you things you could figure out VERY quickly on your own. You just need to read some media buying threads and get testing!
Max from WhatRunsWhere even has a thread right now and he's an expert, get on it!
yea all that info is basic stuff just made for you guys to buy his product and get on his email lists
which result in sending you more and more offers. that guy is just branding his name all over the internet for more popularity for bigger list
the crucial things you wont find on that courses anyway
best way to go is to hit the search function here and look for media buy threads, follow alongs or some skype mastermind groups
Its the whole point of the forums, to stay VERY clear of those shitty make money offers. It's like a very very bad community college course
I must admit, I bought the 'Media Buying Academy Reloaded' course by Chris Munch; when it was released at the beginning of December. It was about $250 I think. The course has been around a while and had decent reviews and this was a revamp and update, as I understand it. It's decent enough and gave me an overview of the necessary considerations. Apparently, Chad Hamzeh's Traffic Blackbook 2 is also supposed to be good and, roughly, about the same thing (media buying).
With that said, if I'd joined this forum first, I probably would not have bought it. By comparison, the media buying course is, at best, an overview. By itself, I'm doubtful it contains enough to set anyone on the path to good practice. Whereas a place like this will do both.
The shame of it is that I looked for reviews about the STM forum and didn't find much useful. Of course, there is Finch's good review (which is what I relied upon) and there are some other affiliate bloggers - but who listens to affiliates when they're making a commission? : ) The only other reviews I saw said that all the good posts here were out of date and there was little activity. (Neither of which are true, of course.) So I delayed joining long enough to buy a course which I might have saved my money on!
Finally, though, Finch's opinion won through and I'm pleased I am here. I feel confident now that if I fail here then I'd most likely fail anywhere (sung to the tune of New York New York). And my membership here will most certainly save me money - whether on campaigns or other high priced unnecessary products.
