Im trying to wrap my head around Individual User Cap and the bidding process and how each "rank" affects the amount of traffic coming in for a medium to high volume target. I inquired about this a while back to someone months ago elsewhere and didnt get much insight besides being told a few variables affect how much traffic you get.. User cap, daily budget and bid amount. Bid amount is obviously going to affect the amount of traffic I get...Ive learned that Rank 1 on a target yields roughly 60% of the traffic but of course that depends on the Usercap.. which is what I am trying to grasp here. I guess I was a bit surprised to see that the individual user cap can be set at one view every 14 days max....why would anyone want to set it so far in advance, especially knowing that most people are seeing great ROI in "retargeted" campaigns.....I realize its "interruption" based, and not as targeted but I still am trying to figure out the dynamics behind marketing to someone that gets popped an ad. lets say for example you have a target related to Organic gardening (humor me its just an example) and you pop a lander related to Organic gardening.. and the user leaves the page... however this could be due to many factors: no interest, too busy to fill out an offer, boss just walked in the office
, etc. etc. I mean the possibilities are endless.. hence my reason for making sure I would target that same IP address atleast ONCE daily. Im just wondering if my thinking is correct on this and would greatly appreciate any insight into effectively using Individual User Cap, and how bid amount affects the traffic you get...and for that matter how would you attempt to rank for 1,2 and even 3 for the same target. Thanks
