LP vs targeting - what to test first? (4)

LP vs targeting - what to test first?

I'm doing an email submit at the moment and testing 3 landing pages against 8 targets. Compared to my first landing page, the CTR has increased from 2% to 6%, still not enough to be profitable but definitely an increase.
At the same time I've filtered out the non-performing urls (the ones with really low ctr), and I'm wondering what the best next step would be:

- keep trying different landing pages to increase CTR
- look for other targets to add in
- both

What do you experienced guys think/usually do?
I'm also thinking of trying a dedicated lp for the highest volume target that wasn't working out with the more general lp (which still has a dynamic figure inserted, like 'looking at *target*? etc) but at the same time I don't want to be testing too many things at the same time.. decisions, decisions!

Hm... I'm wondering the same.

Did you ever find which is best for you?

6% is pretty damn low. I would suggest getting that shit to above 15% at least before trying new urls.

6% is low for email submit. I would first make sure your targets are somewhat similar demos. If they are then keep testing LPs. i say that because different demos can react differently to different LPs. I would also through Direct Link in the mix if it is a simple email submit.

If you are going down co-reg path 6% is more reasonable and you should be able to profit from it.
