Hey all
I've had some great success with 1M reach campaigns, but there are some broader campaigns I'd like to test out. The interests I'm targeting have at least 3-6M people. I'm curious to know how large of an audience is considered 'too large' to really get meaningful dating from? Or is it even possible to go too big?
I usually build my audience from keywords and interests, not really demo targeting.
Thanks!
The only problem with a huge audience is that it's generally harder to find an angle they all care strongly about - and the competition tends to be fiercer because there's more money to be made. Other than that, larger demo = better. Go for it!
I'm aiming for around 100K reach. It seems like this space isn't as competitive and you can really target the audience. One of my campaigns is targeting an 18,000 demo but these guys are very receptive.
Jay.
I don't think you will find the numerical answer you are looking for. If I were you, even if you are targeting single interests that are 3-6 million, I would break things down further by age, and state. That way you should be able to have more control on your lead quality and squeeze more profits from that demographic.
Great replies, thank you all! I think for now I'll try breaking it down by state and interest and see how it goes. I'm going to get my ass in gear and do a follow along on this soon
