What I did wrong? CPA Dating offer
I run a CPA dating campaign (Neverblue) on Facebook which was targeting people from a particular country and age group. I was direct linking to the offer.
Offer was paying $1.21 for signups after email verification.
My Facebook offer setting was:
First ad got 839 clicks and 4 conversions.
- who live in ______
- exactly between the ages of 36 and 49 inclusive
- who are male
- who like #Love, #Dating, #Flirting, #Broken heart or #Romance (love)
- who are in a relationship, engaged, married or have not specified a relationship status
- who are interested in women
Second ad got 95 clicks and no conversions
- who live in ______
- exactly between the ages of 36 and 52 inclusive
- who like #Love at first sight, #Love, #Dating, #Flirting, #Broken heart, #Romance (love) or #Breakup
- on PAGE_HOME_FEED or PAGE_MOBILE_FEED
I send about 938 visitors to that offer but only got 4 conversions. I spend $24.37 and earned only $4.84.
My question is was I am promoting bad offer or my strategy was wrong.
Please help me so that I can know what I am doing wrong.
Thank you
Ravi Ahuja

You need a lander and something to hook up your visitors. This is a good reading: http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...to-Make-it-Pay

List of some of your problems.
You only tested using two ads.
You tested different demographics with different ads.
You tested different placements with different ads
You tested different keywords with different ads.
You didn't have any constants regarding your testing.
Was the offer bad? We don't know the offer so can't comment. Ask your Neverblue rep if it does well.

Wait, I'm confused - did you run a DATING offer to everyone who is NOT single? Why? How did it even get approved on FB?

Okay, some more details as I have nothing to loose.
Dating offer was Secondlove 35+ DOI - Argentina
Offer description: SecondLove is a hot new international dating site that connects people in monogamous relationships find trysts outside their existing relationships. This offer converts on a DOI - email confirmation. Only users with Argentina IPs please!
Hello Zeno, my ads was approved without any problem on Facebook, I don't know is their any reason of not to be approved.
I am not sure that ad copy helps conversions or not, but now I will try to create more ad copies for my next campaign.
I was just concern about conversions. Ad copies and targeting can be useful for clicks, but was not sure about they also help in conversions.

Zeno is right,You can only advertise dating offers to singles and sometimes
"not specified".
-Find decent dating offer, talk to your AM.
-Go more broad, remove keywords. Somebody will say that this is wrong,
but with good image and high CTR this is win. When you target singles
interested in women, you already set the keywords.
-Go direct link first. If it converts, split test with landing page
-Move your winning campaign to other Countries. Good CTR image is
all you need to upscale to other Countries.

Will direct linking on FB make your account more high risk to get banned? I was considering an LP what had more content and looking less like a CPA site, which would make FB less suspicious.

I'm pretty sure you are in the express lane to ban city. SecondLove is basically promoting cheating, I'm guessing that's not gonna fly well with FB.
