Just saw this article over on Venturebeat:
lmao what a horrible article, I love the comments though as they are 100% slamming this mensa candidate. He did zero work managing / restricting affiliate promotions and then cries when affiliates naturally gravitate to a method that is going to make them the most money. Who would have ever thought that humans would do whatever it is that makes them the most money...
only intelligent part of that article is in the comments.
Obviously Ruslan Kogan was living(still is) under a rock and
have no idea how affiliate marketing works.
This cringe worthy.
This article could have been written in 1996. What a waste of life.
no brand/no coupon in terms
problem solved
What a waste of 15 minutes of my life. Please rehire the marketing consultant and fire yourself
Read the article. What a pile of nonsense.
If that was really true, all they would have to do is remove the coupon feature from the checkout. The people wouldn't go searching for a coupon and they would keep the all sales themselves.
Furthermore, (if I read it correctly) if he really looks at his Analytics account ten times a day, he would have noticed that with all the $200k more sales, there was only 2% more overall traffic. That would have raised the alarm immediately.
As I said, it's nonsense.
Terrible lol
Haha i was expecting something about rebills etc.. not this crap. Mega fail for Venturebeat, they're a reputable site and should have better info than this
