The guide provided here is kindda confusing due to my newbie skills in the industry. Where do I find a basic guide on how to install the STM mobile tracker from scratch? I would like to have understanding of how the whole process work. For instance, do I
1. Sign up for a VPS account first?
2. Do I have to install prosper202 as well?
3. How do unzip the tracker into my server?
4. How do I create My SQL?
5. ...

Do you definitely need the STM Mobile Tracker?
If you're looking for a simple tracking installation to get you going, I'd recommend signing up for a Beyond Hosting Starter VPS - they'll handle all the installation of Prosper 202 for you and get you going ASAP.
They may also be able to install the STM Mobile Tracker for you - I'd definitely recommend asking them about that. (Tyler, can you shed any light there?)
Otherwise, I'm happy to talk you through the installation! You can find the installation guide over here, but I'm guessing you've already seen that.
In answer to your questions:
1. Yes, you install it on your VPS (Virtual Private Server), so you'll need to have signed up for a VPS first.
2. No, you don't need to install Prosper.
3. The simplest way is to unzip it on your local machine (the one you're typing on right now), then upload all the folders to your VPS via FTP.
4. If the VPS you've bought doesn't already have a web server, PHP and MySQL, you'll need to install all of those on it. Here's an excellent guide to doing that from Digital Ocean.
If you're not particularly experienced with Linux or web servers, I'd strongly recommend going for the Beyond Hosting option for now.
@Caurmen, I plan running mobile campaigns, so I am guessing a mobile tracker is a must? For What I have seen the STM mobile trax is my best option. I am going to sign up for a Beyond Hosting Starter VPS package and contact them for help with the installation. Thanks for the feedback!
