I'm thinking of promoting a software product that has a very high price ($150+).
My idea is that I need only one sale per $100 ad spend in order to break even. That should definitely be possible, no?
It's definitely not a bad idea - I've made some pretty significant money off high-ticket items myself. However, it's likely to be costly, so I'd only recommend it if you have the budget for it.
Bear in mind that you'll need to spend 5x the offer payout to get even the vaguest idea if your angle works! That's not too bad if you're chasing a $5 payout, but with a $150 payout, it gets expensive fast.
If you can get this sort of thing working with organic (ie non-paid) traffic, that's a goldmine.
definately can help.
a good high ticket offer (high ticket to me is $500+) can totally change the numbers of your business.
but not sure i'd do this for a front end.... use the ascension ladder.
Your logic behind it is kind of bad, high ticket items are usually harder to sell for many reasons which in turn makes it sometimes the same as promoting anything else, but not always.
High ticket items can make a LOT of money... but you can't just auto assume it will be easy to spend $100 and make a sale. Always test though!
