Hey STMers,
I'm trying to get an evergreen dating offer approved on FB. I've changed the copy, used non-offensive images and I'm sending traffic to a LP.
I'm trying to use an "angle" but FB's guidelines are making it difficult. They want really cheesy photos of "normal", happy people and headlines like "Are you looking to date?".
Jay.
FB's dating guidelines are a bit of a pain in the ass, I agree - and dating's one of the more likely-to-get-banned verticals on FB, to add to your problems.
Are you getting specific feedback from them, or just struggling to fit into their published guidelines?
It's hard to give much more advice without knowing a bit about the angle you're aiming for. Thanks to their "you can't call out details about the user" guidelines, some angles can be really hard to push.
Thanks Caurman - sorted now. I read their guidelines and all my ads are approved.
I'm having the most difficult time getting my ads approved. The disapproval notice says it has to do with the text of my ad but I'm pretty positive my ad complies with all FB guidelines. Could this be referring to my landing page?
Here's the exact note:
Reason(s):
Your ad wasn't approved because its text violates Facebook's policies on ads for dating services or websites. Learn more in the Help Center: https://www.facebook.com/help/?faq=143949649021372. I've found certain times of the day helps. For example 08:00 GMT is great to get ads approved. Also use the Power Editor.
Are you selected "Interested in women"? Not selecting it will cause an error
Facebook have recently (in the past week or so), started to come down hard on dating ads. Dating is by no means a "straight ban/easy to get banned" vertical. We have affiliates that have been running on one account for upwards of a year. It all depends on your ad images and text and how sexual they are. Run a "softer" dating offer, and if you get that feedback from Facebook regarding disapproval, then you're using a word or phrase in multiple ads that has been blocked or flagged. So change up the words till you figure out which word is causing the disapprovals.
All my ads are getting disapproved all of a sudden this week. Is there any workaround this?
Even if you've changed something about the images can you still get flagged?
