Let's talk about Pay Per Call

Hey folks,

I've been intrigued with the Pay Per Call conversion funnel but have yet to try it.
With the high payouts and the need for only 2-3 minutes of interaction to convert, it seems as though some highly target and transparent banners could so some serious damage?

Does anyone have any experience with this?
Is this a goldmine that has yet to go fully mainstream?

Pay per call offer is still a good choice for affiliate marketing.

For google adwords, you can take the strategy of high CPC price and low day budget in the early days. Once you can get stable certain traffic, you lower the CPC gradually.

I don't know if it could be considered fully mainsteam but offers like:
Budget Truck Rental
Home Services - handyman, exterminators, home alarms
Credit Consolidation
Get Local Dentist
Get Local Attorney

All seem to be VERY stable for publishers running. You also have the personal relief of running some very clean offers.

It's certainly a different conversion funnel. I've personally seen campaigns work that never worked for "traditional" Affiliate Marketing campaigns.

It can definitely be an easy conversion, but quality is very important. You're directly connecting consumers with the advertiser in a conversation, where the advertiser actually has to sell the consumer.

Most publishers are targeting mobile users and delivering calls from the click to call function on mobile phones.

It's a growing industry and is likely to continue going "fully mainstream" as the adoption of smartphone users grows.
