If you could choose only one mobile ad network, who would it be? (25)

If you could choose only one mobile ad network, who would it be?

Been trying out a few ad networks, still trying to find my goto ad network. My favourite so far is probably Tapit. Slick interface + pubid filtering.

Airpush , tons of volume and good targeting / filtering. It's pretty competitive though.

Inmobi and Airpush have given me the most volume, so them for now.

I think the best way to find out the favorites is by using the search bar, and type in the top 10 networks. You will quickly discover which is a common favorite. Not many people would want to tell you off the bat which is their favorite for obvious reasons.

and yet the first 3 responses are from mods! I'm kinda lol'ing.. But it is a good question since there are simply tons of ad networks in mobile out there - it does get overwhelming.

^^ :P ginger.

Mobile is very different than other sources, it's so scattered, which means there are a few hidden gems. These are my favorite at the moment and will get destroyed if talked about publicly.

However, I've have no problem saying I've made $xx,xxx on all the networks listed below. A couple have made me $x,xxx, xxx.

- airpush
- inmobi
- buzzcity
- jumptap
- leadbolt
- admob

You callin' me a ginger!? I call myself that too, it's ok.

It's funny, with mobile it seems even when focusing on one network and running campaigns over and over on there, when something doesn't work out it I've found myself giving up after spending a few hundred on a campaign. I don't even think to realize that there are more than one ad network for mobile. I need to start realizing that mobile ad networks are just another variable in the campaign you have to test.

I came from the Facebook mindset (throw a ton of ads up and see what sticks) and jumped in on mobile last year with Alex's Mobaff. It was good but I ended up losing a bit in the end which made me take a step back from affiliate marketing and reevaluate how I approach new campaigns. Hell, maybe I should do a follow along.

Anyways, I'll stop the hijack here.

tl;dr = ad networks are another mobile token to track.

Yeah mobile ads are displayed in such different ways, banners, apps, redirects, push, just to name a few, that performance differs hugely. Each one you need to treat differently. I'm yet to have one campaign that is profitable on the all 6 I mentioned above. I might get 3-4 but some just don't roll for certain campaigns.

You are much better off testing 10 campaigns on 1 traffic source than you are testing 1 campaign on 10 traffic sources. Apart from all the obvious variables in mobile, the traffic can be vastly different from 1 ad network to another.

The problem is that people always think the grass is greener and blaming the traffic is the easiest thing to do. Any ad network that's been in business for more than a year is good to go.

There are many you could choose, like Sitescout, Sendroid. I think it will be better if you could promote one click campaigns in these platform.

is inmobi still a good source for beginners?

04-27-2014 04:26 PM #17 andrea1987 (Member)

I used to run offers on airpush, but it was so hard to get my campaign approved, it's hard to play dirty on airpush, not even a little is allowed, after a while you just get tired see your campaigns not approved and you end up loosing time and money.
For now i am using tapit it's easy to handle and good volume too.

Times have changed, and new sources now exist.

Inmobi is still a great source with a ton of volume to start with.

There's SO many networks that exist. I would recommend finding your own few and testing on them, less competition.

Ok guys, since most of you recommended inmobi (India-Mobi) I pulled the trigger and signed up with them.

Just by looking at the minimum bids of 0.02 and other user complains I know they broker traffic from other big network.. that is ok, no problem.

I asked to have the pub ids tracking enable and they rapidly replied asking for a $500 deposit and my Skype Id in order to help me with this matter.

It happens I made the deposit and told them I would spend $500-1k daily and even more after I could optimize the camps, well, after 3 days I have had not answer from them.

Is their customer support usually like that?

05-09-2014 09:29 AM #20 stanislav (Member)

Not in my experience. They have been quick to respond to everything I needed. I guess you just have to be proactive. Saying you'll spend 30k/mo doesn't work till you prove it. It's not a small network, 1k daily is below the average spending budget. Nevertheless, keep sending emails and / or Skype messages till you get your dedicated account rep. Get to know this person and it should get faster and easier from there.

05-09-2014 10:23 AM #21 cosmeivan ()

Just go someone on Skype, it seems Skype has been having some issues and I didn't get the add request.

However, this is just the tech guy who enabled tracking pub ids, etc. He told me to keep spending and then they will get me and account rep.

They seem to have a shitload of volume, I wonder if MaxCDN will be able to handle it

This is SPOT on.

The only other way to look at it, is sometimes random/smaller traffic sources have unique pubs or ad formats which can randomly work very well. So i sometimes like weird/much lesser known traffic sources that i find from endless research. I usually have to test 10 to find 1 good one though.

VERY long lasting campaigns when you find some winners here.
