Hey guys, recently I am running campaigns for my mobile games and I found it's confusing comparing to the webgame promoting.
Basic Campaign:
1. USA
2. Male
3. 16-35
4. CPC - 0.29/0.26 per Click
5. oCPM - Action: 2, 2.5 or 3.
6. Interests: all card games;
7. App Size: around 110M.
8. Daily Budget: $100,000
I am running my campaigns for almost 15 days now. At most I can only get 200 installs per day, with average CPI around $1.86-$2.5. I tried to increase the bid, but it seems costs more but I still get same quantity of installs.
Isn't raising the bid working for mobile installs? How can I increase volumes?
This issue is confusing me for quite a long time and I hope experts here can help me to solve this problem.
Thanks.
When you increase the bid, do you see more traffic atleast and the installs stay the same? So your conversion rate is essentially lowering
OR
are you seeing the same amount of clicks/installs as before?
I know oCPM is useful for such campaigns, but have you tried traditional CPC bidding to see what CPIs you can achieve?
I duplicate the campaigns and raise the bid. For example, as for CPC campaign, I raised from 0.29 to 0.50 - sometimes my campaign even can't run at all! But my 0.29 campaign can run like 30 installs in that day...That's really confuses me...Did I open too many campaigns in my account?
Yes, CTR will be lower, but I/R keeps the same, about 10% from clicks to download. CTR will drop from 1% to 0.4% or 0.5%.
Now I am running traditional CPM, not oCPM. oCPM can grant me 10 USD per install lol...now CPM can grant me like 4-5 usd per install but still i can only spend 300 USD per day...still with very low traffic.
Try oCPM to 100% action (install)
The only thing you can control is the budget but in general for facebook mobile that is cheapest way to get installs. You get cheaper clicks if you bid cpc or ocpm (optimize to clicks) but your conversion rate will be too low. You can also try CPM bidding but I think oCPM will be cheaper
Sorry I just realized I was talking about a feature that is only available in the API tools. There are 2 bid types Absolute and Relative oCPM.

In power editor you only have access to Absolute oCPM
I would just raise the actions bid much higher. I don't think your install price will go up so much. Also split up you age groups more as the install prices will vary. Here is some more good info on it
