Hey guys,
I have been in affiliate marketing for years but have never dabbled in PPV. I have a couple questions if someone doesn't mind answering.
I am about to start advertising on TV. Their pops are 800x600. Because most offers will not fit in that space is it better to use a target=blank_ for the links so they open in a new window?
Second, is it ever wise to use keywords instead of URL's?
Finally, so flogs work within the pop or should I have a pre pre lander
Thanks in advance
Hi and welcome.
Regarding target=_blank, I like to split-test because sometimes it seems to make a big difference on TV, other times not.
Keywords - definitely test keywords
Flogs - again, split-test, as this will vary depending on the offer/niche.
Good luck.
Thank you Brian, I have almost everything ready to go. I felt I needed to jump in to here before I went in blind with 2500.00 on TV
Ok, so I have cpvlab setup. I ran a few campaigns 6 negative and 1 positive. Down about 450.00 which I guess is ok while testing. Here is another question if you wouldn't mind answering. What is the highest I should look to pay for ppv and keep things profitible. Ex. I scraped about 2700 keywords for payday loans in the USA. The ones that have traffic on TV are anywhere between .18 to 3.40 per view. I always was under the assumption PPV was cheaper than PPC. Was I wrong on my thinking?
If people are paying 3.40 a view, they're making money its just a super competitive keyword. The question is too relative as you wouldn't pay 20 cents a view if it only earned you back 10 cents, but you would pay $1.00 a view if it was paying you $1.50 back etc
Also, you'll pay more than $3.40 for "payday loans" on Google, so PPV is still cheaper than paid search.
