Looking to freshen up the STM forums (vbulletin). Holla if you are interested!
Paint it black.
Not sure if serious??
Mr Green- This is my first post, but I own a outsourcing center in the Philippines and we do mainly web design. If you want just let me know what you need done and I will hook it up.
Cheers
Zach
Looking for a branded redesign of vbulletin basically. It looks a little out of date. So if your guys have UI experience that would be handy.
Definitely looking to keep it CLASSY though, classy and simple. No matrix stuff :P
i'd help ya... but i suck coding.... i can design anything in photoshop tho. :-)
Take a look at dribbble.com, without a doubt some of the best ui designers in the world on there!
i'm sorry if i sounded like a dick, i was just referring to a dark skin : http://stmforum.com/forum/showthread...-for-STM-forum

Talked with my dev and they said we can do the design, but not the actual integration. They don't have experience with vbulletin.
If you want that done just shoot me a pm with ideas you have and we will do it for free.
Peanut: Don't want to hijack this thread - could you PM me your ideas for lander creation lessons? Sounds useful...
Maybe get in touch with this guy _> h**p://www.wickedfire.com/members/dreamache.html Did the forum skin on WF and AffPlaybook (sponsored by Above All Offers)
If you can integrate yourself, I'd throw in a design by my designer / coder too. Especially for forums I think a smooth, elegant but easy to overview design looks very sexy much rather than a super duper design.
Yep we're big fans of simple easy to use UX which is usually complemented by a simple design
nothing wrong with the design imo.. a few added new nuggets or tools would go down a storm tho
Maybe some basic infos like if you guys want to keep the red/black combination in terms of branding would be useful or if we're free to get you a new corporate identity ?
Honestly spoken I pretty much like the current design. Myself I favour bright designs and somehow bigger fonts, just put that together in PS - changed the fonts a bit and the header sorted with the functions I personally use most, any feedback is appreciated. That's just my personal idea so don't jump on me if you hate it
In my opinion a lot of functions like the calendar don't have to be in the main navigation, at least I don't use them at all so I'd try to group the most important functions like forum home link / new posts together.

please make my eyes feel better while reading the post, I feel the red is too redish
on addition.. you want a member to design a new site for nowt when you charge 99 a month to gawd knows how many members lol.. bloody cheapskates ha
Of course it wasn't meant to be free lol. Just hunting for talent on STM.
oh great will turn into DP then
hahah absolutely not!
Are you just thinking about some CSS and graphics stuff?
Or wlll you revamp some functions as well?
If you'd like to reorganize some of the forum functionnality, I think it could be great to list all the most popular of them, the most used by the members, and give to them a place of choice in a wireframe http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Website_wireframe before designing, what do you think?
Or maybe it's too much complicated for a forum, I've never experienced them...
Don't want to turn it into a 2 months job
But it's how I design all my "legit" websites lol.
I'm sure that most of guys with an agency experience can relate how useful is this kind of organization.
In my case, here are the functionalities I use the most:
- New posts, actually the link in my bookmark when I come here
- Suscribed threads, mostly the folders I've manually set up
- All the tools in the header
- The link "go to last post" on the forum listings, next to the last poster name
- The quick reply form, very useful
- Edit post
- Reply with quotes
Here are some functionalities I never use:
- everything down the quick reply form (previsous/next thread, posting permissions, default style etc.)
- all the redundant links in the header used to setup the settings or see my profile
Don't know if it helps, I feel that I'm overcomplicating things lol.
@julien
thanks for letting us known the functions you use most , we will put those in evidence since I think these are the ones most people use.
