Teach me how to use CPVLAB with fb. (will pay or give u $250 fb acc)
Hi,
I would like to hire someone who can walk me through how to set up CPVlab and how to track properly and what to track and how to use the php code, where to install it etc, how to track images, intrestes. And best practices etc. So very basic stuff .
Im pretty unexperienced when it comes to technical stuff, so you would have to keep it simple. I would also record it, so i can refer back to it in future.
I am happy to pay for your time or hook you up with $250's FB acc(s)
PM me your skype id

Have you checked out the STM Guide To CPVLab Campaign Setup? It's a lot cheaper than $250 and should get you going
Let me know if you have any problems with specific parts of it (post here) and I'll do my best to help out!

Might be a dumb question but...since FB now has Conversion Tracking do we even need CPVLab or P202 to track our campaigns?
*Noob here*

It's a good question - not nooby at all!
A comparison may be useful: on SiteScout, which also has very robust conversion tracking a lot of people tend to just use the SiteScout tracking. However, that's partially because SiteScout won't allow rotating landers, as I recall.
The big thing that CPVLab or Prosper will do that Facebook won't do is let you rotate offers and landing pages, and track their comparative performance. CPVLab will also give you other useful stats like Engage percentages.
I'd recommend using a tracker for that reason.

So for someone who is just starting off in promoting offers on FB, would their Conversion Tracking be sufficient enough for now?

starting off without cpvlab or prosper (free) is going to make it harder to track and analyze data, especially if you're using lps. Basically giving yourself an unnecessary handicap. If you're just starting out, all the more reason that you should use every possible tool at your disposal. Tracking is a critical part of this, and lp rotation is very important as well as easily tracking all stats in one place.

Yeah I agree with you totally.
I am not starting out however. Been doing doing IM for years and PPC several months now. I have several very profitable campaigns up and running and want to focus on scaling.
However I never really tracked anything. Literally tested some things out and got profitable. But I know this could be working so much better if I did track and that way weed out all unprofitable elements.
So if prefer to do it with someone and they would show me around a bit. (basic stuff, like where on my page to paste code, how to make and use .php links, what strategy to use in order to track images, ages, interestes ) Also how to see whats profitable and whats not profitable etc - so for someone who know what they are doing very simple stuff, but for me, I have no idea where to start.
Cheers

@rrohn - I'm afraid the next time I could manage to do private coaching would be mid-September some time
But I'm sure you'll be able to get someone to help out.

I am in the same boat as you. I am averaging %60+ ROI (some days shit, some days %150+) Sometimes I dont even change anything and one day I am at %120 ROI next day at %40ROI and really not sure why. I am looking into tracking but it confuses the hell out of me!

A cool question in my view would be: How to input the correct costs from facebook into cpvlab?

@adpro - Ah, that's a really difficult one! I have it on the list to do a tutorial about in future - but the summary often is "just run a spreadsheet and compare costs and spends there, it's easier"

There's no way to know (correct me if I'm wrong!) because the clicks vary from click to click and Facebook doesn't offer any URL variables unfortunately (can you imagine if they did? like age? OMG.)
What I personally do is take the past 30 days or so in CPVLab, and go into the corresponding campaign in Facebook and choose Today's date only. I then sort by clicks in descending order and compare the CPC and EPC manually, and adjust accordingly. Eventually, my poor-performing ads are weeded down (because of really low bids), and the profitable ads remain. I'll also, over time, then adjust the CPVLab's campaign CPC cost by taking today's date and working out the average CPC (actually, I always leave it a bit higher just to be safe. I don't want a campaign doing just 5% ROI anyway!). Doing these things over time seems to work for me.

Not possible without API access I'm afraid.
