How do you keep track of tens of campaigns?? (11)

How do you keep track of tens of campaigns??

I've finally been getting consistent, semi-profitable campaigns, but the one issue that I still can't wrap my head around is how to keep track of my 10 campaigns. I can't even imagine what it must be like to track 100 campaigns!

My biggest problem is that I'm using Prosper202 to track a bunch of adult dating campaigns. I can properly track all my income , but to track Income Vs. Spend the only thing I can do is screw around with Excel tables, everyday going in to all my traffic sources, adding the spend in to the excel tables, etc.

I'm sure I would be much more profitable if I could properly track my spending in Prosper or if I automated the excel stuff somehow.

I've even been thinking of getting a programmer to mod my prosper install and add spending tables to the DB so I can just add the spend directly in to prosper, but I can't justify spending money I don't have right now.

How do you guys deal with it??

You can do quite a lot of customisation and automation with Excel tables. I've got a spreadsheet that I can just dump an exported CSV from my traffic source into, then another exported CSV from my tracker and it'll automatically assign spend and revenue for each campaign.

That may be a faster/cheaper way to do it than modding P202.

Can't we just use our Tracking202 API key and integrate it with the traffic source API?
That way it will update CPC accurately in real time, is it possible?

Getting a coder would cost you quite some money since its not an easy job.

Maybe start by hiring someone to do reports for you and move from there.

Yeah, I've been thinking of just coding something simple in Excel that I can just plug in the traffic source reports from.

Unfortunately , this means having to rethink how my campaigns are named, etc. I wish I had chosen a standard naming scheme to use in Prosper and traffic source:
US-Adult-TrafficSource-Mobile01
That way I wouldn't have to go around matching campaigns by hand.

Just move to cpvlab It's great if you wanna manage something big you can create campaign groups in cpvlab.

@tmcalvin - Sure, I'll look into it - may be a few weeks before I get time to tidy it up and document it, but I know it's something people would find useful! It's on The List

(Yes, I do in fact have an actual List )
