Mobile Noob, which tracker do you prefer?

Hey guys, I'm just getting my feet wet in mobile. And from what I hear imobitrax is one of the best mobile trackers out there... But I dont want to pay that much for it now,

so I've narrowed it down to the free STM tracker and MobAff tracker... which one do you guys prefer?

Also, is there a way I can still use my CPV lab to track my mobile camps? thanks

Never used the STM tracker but MobAff gets many thumbs up for me. Ironically, I've never used it for mobile campaigns though.

I use CPVlab for mobile - as long as you dont need to redirect based on carrier/devices/connection, then CPVlab will work fine for mobile.

Maybe adult mobile, or for clearcut extensions of web campaigns...but for proper mobile unless I'm missing something CPVLab doesn't detect devices or carriers at all so you'd have no ability to optimize.

Pass tokens/parameters from your ad networks for device/carrier/os/etc.

ahh... awesome, this is all good news.

I was having problems installing stm tracker, so I went with mobaff... and since nissangtr is sayin CPV lab is good to go too, then I Guess ill be using that as well when I narrow down the device/carrier/os...etc i suppose.

Ah yep that's a more ideal way to go about it anyway...good call.

We try to use our own DB along with any network tokens. Every ad network out there uses diff databases so its good to see what they call various devices.

We use Scentia WURFL for device detection, to see which ad networks use it too check out the list here

Since you are coming in as a noobie, you should sign up to a few of the free ones, and stick to which ever one you find easiest to navigate round. Since in terms of functionality they are all pretty comparable.

With the feedback of our affiliates, Imobitrax is a good choice.
