I've been told that performance marketing is all about split testing all this while, especially on mobile. I always have this doubt in my mind. How far should i test?
For an offer with payout of $2.40, and my bid of 0.06
1) Spent $20 and get back $12 (text ads)
2) spent $100 and get back $50 (banner ads)
Is it too early for me to stop? or i should have stop them earlier? Been told to gather more and more data, but wouldn't all data = random data? If for the same amount spent and 0 conversion, i would have stopped, but since theres some.. what is the proper manner to deal with it.. hmmm
For your $100 spend, how many ads, LPs and offers were you testing?
That's the key thing - if you were testing 1 banner, 1 LP and one offer then you definitely need to change something.
If you were testing 5 of each you should start seeing which ones are doing better, but you may need to spend more to get definitive results.
If this was on mobile, you definitely need to spend more - mobile's a bit of a high-spend game as I understand it. Start checking which OSes, carriers, models and so on don't convert, and start cutting them.
Your data is not random if you've set up proper tracking
