Anyone tried direct linking with email submits on LI? I always use a landing page but have heard that some people direct link with good results.
Some offers actually look good in the small 775x400 window. Some don't.
I tried a small test direct linking but it didn't work. Landing page did better.
Maybe because of the load time? Whaddya guys think?
Definitely test the loading time for the offer. If it's a slow-loading offer page (above a second or so, realistically), you're going to need a lander.
Hey Caurmen,
Yeah, the loading time is quite slow for the offer I tested, just the background shows initially before the other elements load. Most people won't even see the offer before they close the window.
I guess it would depend on the offer's page loading time to see if it is worth testing.
Lp's will do better 90% of the time with ppv (try to stay below 100kb LP size)..mainly because of the load time..but always splittest..the results will give you the answer.
I've had successful direct linking e-mail submits. Just always split test. You just never know which will end up working better.
Using a lander allows you to place 3-4 different email submits on the same lander, so you don't lose the user if they aren't interested in the particular offer you chose to promote. So if someone isn't interested in an iphone, but they would click on a walmart gift card, you still catch them.
@ewoww - how do you position the multiple offers to not distract the user off focus? Is there a good layout you've used that works for multiple offers on the same lander?
@groomez - so could you take a lander slightly like this one https://car.provide-insurance.com/ex...e=43214&path=0 and change the offers to the different email/zip submits?
