Overview:
I read this post by maynzie and it's inspired me to start a mastermind group.
Requirements
I'm looking to start a group between 4-6 beginner/intermediates affiliates. Beginner affiliates must have launched at least 3-4 campaigns but might still be working to crack their first profitable one. who are willing to lay everything out on the table.
We'll all be learning from each other to see what works and doesn't. And I want to keep this group's general chit chat down to a minimum and keep it focused on POF.
I want to make sure we can all get together every few days and have a live discussion, so everyone should be in similar timezones. I live in the pacific time zone (PST) and understand not everyone is fulltime AM, so we'll discuss whether to have chats between 9-5pm or evening.
Mentorship/Guidance
It would be great to get 1 or 2 of the great affiliates that understand POF to help hold our hands in the chat group. I understand this is a big commitment as you guys mostly moved onto bigger things.
If that's not possible, if you guy's don't mind PMing me your skype contact or email to allow us to gather our questions at the end of the day and ask you all at once.
How I see it working
If you haven't read maynzie's thread, Mr. green laid out 1 golden rule. If you wanna stay in the mastermind group, you HAVE to bring something to the table every time we come together. That means you have to be TESTING.
1) You have to be testing and bring something new to the table every time we meet up. I'm thinking we get together every other day for a full discussion. This means get your creatives/landers, offers, ad copy laid out on the table for everyone to critique. We show screenshots from our campaigns data, draw some conclusions, and make some actionable items for members. Members who don't contribute WILL BE KICKED OUT!
2) We share resources and knowledge: any tips you've picked up, blog posts, swipe files (landers, creatives, whatever else), forum posts, tools, etc. Being in the beginner stage this is the time to soak up as much knowledge as possible.
3) A bit of hand holding from mentor: whether he's in our actual chat group or a contact we can gather up our questions for, we have someone who can guide us in the right direction if we're unsure what the right move is.
Offers to Run
I'm concentrating mostly on dating, and I'd like to keep that as the primary focus. If there's others dabbling into other offers, I'm open to that as well.
Wouldn't everyone just steal each other's work?
That's one way of thinking, but keep in mind there's hundreds of other people advertising on POF (not to mention that are better than us), STM has a POF spy tool, and most likely people have fake accounts stealing your work anyways. We'll use an honor system and hope no one outs your work within the group. Watermarking your work before you show it would be a good way to avoid this.
If 4 of us tested different angles or even launch 1 angle altogether and figure out what works we're going to be ahead than we were by ourselves.
Let's get started!
Let's gather this group together and launch on Monday, July 22. Either PM me or post in the thread.
Please include the following info:
1) skype name
2) location & timezone
3) What have you done so far (ex. launched 3 failed campaigns, have one that's breaking even)
I'm definitely interested, shoot me your skype so we can talk more
Skep: AmericanDebtSolutions
Zone: California, PST.
I'm doing dating on POF. Been successful, not looking for people I can just relay my info to tho, so hit me up and we can chit chat a bit and maybe we can kill it together? get at me.
Could be interested but what's the advantage of this over looking at follow alongs?
@davidal - Masterminds are really good ways to boost your productivity and get campaigns going, for two reasons.
One, you're sharing a lot of information - more than you'd get on most follow-alongs - and so you get the benefits of a much wider range of research, which lets you narrow down possibilities faster.
Two, you're accountable to the group - and that means you have a much stronger incentive to be launching, testing, and reporting.
Right count me in then. Im a bit newbie mind, but willing to work hard.
Is this still happening?
