I've been tossing around the idea of building my own credit report offer for a while and looking to see if anyone knows a decent solution for the backend monitoring portion. From what I gather looking at the big offers out there, the typical setup is to provide the users their credit scores by querying Experian, Transunion and Equifax directly (for a small transactional cost that I'd eat) and then bundling in the monitoring service as the free-trial/recurring membership for a monthly fee. I've signed up through gofreecredit and freescore360, but their monitoring services seem to either be inhouse or 100% whitelabeled so couldn't turn up anything useful there. Anyways, just curious if anyone has dabbled in this space or has any suggestions on companies to approach for this type of service. Thanks in advance.
interesting idea, have you tried contacting experian directly? as for the integration, you just need a coder to set it all up for you..
Ya, I contacted the three bureaus - they have no problem giving out api access to pull the raw credit report / data, but no all in one monitoring / id theft package. I guess it wouldn't be too hard to create a monitoring product by pulling the reports daily, creating a clean reporting UI for the users and notifying them with any major changes or spikes, but I thought there might be a comprehensive solution out there to whitelabel around. The programming isnt the issue, just didn't want to reinvent the wheel especially if I could give up a small revshare to a company that has this type of process locked down with the appropriate support staff in place so I can focus more on the frontend work and traffic generation.
