Hey guys,
Curious, I'm bidding on 400k+ impressions but I'm only winning like 2% of that.
Why is this? The eCPM that I get is lower than what I'm bidding, so it appears that my bid is high enough?
Also, I'm on an RTB platform similar to sitescout.
Just because the eCPM that you're getting is lower than your bid doesn't mean your bid is high enough.
Real time bidding means an auction is happening every time an impression is available. So on 2% of the auctions you may be bidding high enough, but on 98% of the auctions, you're not.
If you want more impressions, try increasing your bid.
Ah, that makes a lot more sense, interesting.
Thanks man!
Also keep in mind eCPM= BID x CTR.
You need a combo of both to get a high eCPM and win the impressions.
Played with the bids more, getting more impressions now. Too expensive now, haha.
Maybe a good strategy is bid low on 1% of a massive website, that way you can get cheap CPM and decent impressions.
