I have been trying to push credit score offers on TV, but I rarely get any conversions. I burnt $600 and got about $110 in conversions.

What are your targets on TV? I've tried placing my ads on financial sites (banks).

I've heard that dating works well with PPV. I've also tried auto insurance zip submit offers, but they don't work on TV. I wonder what's up with that?!

Weird , financial offers have done really well for me in the past on TV.

Did you give it enough time on TV?

to be Honest, No..I just spent about $200 and when I did not see any conversion..I stopped. Wonder what ight have gone wrong..I was also promoting credit scores on TV, the campaign was profitable on LI though...

I picked up a few landers from boxofads, got them approved by my affiliate manager, and I tried popping over banks, lottery sites, auto loan and mortgage sites, but have yet to yield any decent conversion. The credit score LP I used were the ones with intro sound 'you have not yet claimed your free credit score, today is your last chance...' and a few others. They just don't convert!

bbrock32: what financial offers are you referring to? credit reports/scores, payday loans?

sean3: would you like to discuss this campaign in private with regards to targets etc.?

@bbrock32: I think I know you were going to publish a guide for pushing credit report/score on TV, but you didn't. Is that right? Any chance you could please help me out analyze my campaign as to what I may be doing wrong? Thank you!

Tip 1: the bank site approach is dead. Anyone who still tries to push credit like that is going to get trapped dead in the waters with almost any offer out there.

Talking from experience, someone who's been incredibly profitable promoting this niche on both TV and LI in the past, DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.

I've been refused payment twice.

I had to fight very hard to keep 40k of Revenue, and I've had commissions cut from me on another occasion.

Just my 2cents.

Other stuff that can work on TV: backup services (try popping over software sites), auto loans, lean-gen (I made a dentist offer work for a little while, payout was 6$).

@andy_d - Thanks for your tips on that. Ouch! That must have hurt very badly. How else would you promote credit report/score offers on TV? For me, the landers have been approved by the merchants. Initially they disapproved all landers I sent to them, but a little back and forth with the help of my AM, they finally approved most of them. There are some landers that have 'security breach' theme, but that's a complete no no. I'd not use it. I've tried all approaches, but none of them seem to be working out. I know there are guys who still make xx,xxx per day with credit report offers with TV. Any additional tips? Thank you in advance.

TV: Insurance, Gaming, Credit, Finance, Biz Opp tried and true always work but very competitive!!

Sick tip though, from a VERY successful dude on this forum. Take the targets everyone is running that are highly competitive for the above places, find them on media buying outlets like sitescout and adapt your PPV campaign into a media buying campaign.

$500/days to $5000/days overnight

To be honest, I can't really help in that area. Credit reports is tough. You really need a solid offer to make it work these days and playing the correct angle is the hardest part.

I have no clue how people are doing xx,xxx on TV alone, as I was only ever able to manage x,xxx on TV and only when competition was low.

However, scaling this across a few sources proved to be a very profitable strategy.

Basically, the best tip I can give is, regardless of what you're promoting, try and always start out with targets that are directly related to someone 'searching' for the product and then expand/scale from there. If you find a certain category of sites seem to do ok, them you should try and scale it from that category of targets, then ultimately, scale it as much as you can.

Andy, you're right about that. The angle is the most difficult one. I'm currently using boxofads to look out for targets and angles, and bidding on the urls where I've seen others bid on. Have you seen direct linking straightly to the offer work? I'm starting to bid on competition, and let's see how it fares out. When you pushed credit report/scores offers, how many targets did you end up pushing it on? I'm using a max of 50 targets at the moment. What angle has worked out to be profitable for you? Were you using a LP?

Yeah, I don't know how people are doing xx,xxx per day, but I have a friend who knows a friend who does or did that kind of volume with TV. The bids on competitor keywords are like $3 a pop. Yikes! Could it also be possible that credit score/report works better on LI than on TV?

I've tried auto insurance as well, but some how it just doesn't convert any more. What targets are usually good for auto insurance zip submits?
