Collecting emails via mobile traffic?

It works with PPV, PPC and other types of traffic. The concept is proven, but i haven't seen it done much on Mobile. I gave it a very rough test over a year ago which was so rough it can't be considered as proper data.

Has anyone else had experience testing it? I was talking about it in Maynzies PPV thread where he collects emails via PPV and the same concept seems like it could easily apply to Mobile!

Was doing it with bizz op tested over 20 different types of landers, my best performing type with the highest opt in rate had 3 qualifying questions first before taking them to a short pre-sell and email opt in page. Was braking even and needed to do some work on my auto responder emails (am not an amazing copywriter lol) but the best performing bizz op offer I was running got pulled.

screen shots below of one of my landers that had the best opt in rate, wont put my finale pre-sell page as that would be giving away to much but am sure you get the idea lol

I was gathering emails for diet tips and my cost per email SOI was at about .40 without much optimization.

Didn't do much with that list.

I might have to give mobile a shot then I've managed to get female dating double opt-ins on POF for less than a dollar, but it was a pain dealing with all those small campaigns.

Awesome info - thanks cash money & russian. Quick question: were you guys running mobile search or mobile display? I'd love to figure out how to get this working with display traffic because of the volume available, but last time I tried it I got my arse handed to me.

I encountered several issues with gathering emails through mobile traffic.

1: I used getresponse and the code for the form is huge in size for mobile standards.
2: The code was JS (targeting countries with high feature phone density)
3: Typos........ as in "john342@tahoo.com" instead of "john342@yahoo.com" and anything else that is correct e-mail syntax but result in non-existent accounts.
4: Huge offer pages for desktop traffic.

Broke even after i made a setup to redirect non JS users to a php form and manually importing the lists but it was too frustrating to see that similar campaigns for desktop traffic were very profitable.. so i stopped it.

This was mobile display, what we specialize in.

We just had 1 Trick to Flat Belly banners to a mobile formatted email submit.

Reason you get your ass handed to is shitty Site IDs where your ads are shown. Track that and you'll notice how often 1 site id will suck up 80% of your traffic and yield 0 results.

Good places to start IMO for self serves are Airpush and Millenial

With full tracking of everything, including the siteid's, good banners/lander and a nice pre-written list of warm emails you could really hit a massive campaign. It's just a battle for who's willing to take a months worth of work for something that could easily not end up working

I know Mr Stacks is too busy counting paper to do that kind of a thing

You don't need to use getreponse's code. Just use a custom form and pass your campaign id and username. I've done email collecting before with mobile coreg, just didn't email anyone after LOL.

Yeah, that make sense. I could have been getting mostly accidental clicks from a single app for all I know.

How do these ad networks compare to advertising on the Google Display Network targeting only mobile devices? I know Google's not very fond of squeeze style pages, but if I can set it up as a survey like in cashmoneyaffiliate's example, that hopefully won't be an issue. And I'd imagine there's more mobile display volume available on Google than anywhere else, no?
