PPV ad networks that serve IAB ads

Hi everyone,

I know all TV, DirectCPV & the likes sell popunder traffic but what are some good PPV networks that sell IAB-standard ads?

So you can buy 300x250s, 728x90s for cheaper than you'd buy them on AdWords on the same sites (provided the user has the adware installed)

Thanks in advance

So, just to clarify - you're looking for companies that replace Adwords ads with their own if the user has the adware installed?

Interesting model, if I've got that right. I've not heard of it before.

All PPV networks have their own window size but you basically want to make your lander with a desired size (IAB in your case) and show it as it is. MediaTraffic allows you to change the window size, so it will look like a popping up banner

I see some lazy guys just copy banners from aff networks and show them on LI but they miss the thing that you're given 750x500 window to make a better sale message than just a standard banner. Think about it.

Yes, that is precisely that I'm looking for.

I know it's being done but I can't find the ad networks that sell the ads.

It's a potentially untapped traffic source with quality traffic

There are some shady toolbars and plugins for FF and Chrome that do this.. I read this a while ago.. http://www.webmasterworld.com/google...se/4554254.htm

and just googled now and found this.. http://www.sugarrae.com/affiliate-ma...-your-revenue/

No idea where you would buy the ads tho!..

I know a private ad network that has the tech expertise, infrastructure, and the userbase to do this, and when they conferred with their legal team, they were told that it is HIGHLY illegal in the US

dont understand why anyone would want to limit it to a small IAB ad that runs ONLY on pages with adwords. if the visitor already has the toolbar installed, its possible to easily pop over the page in any size (same as PPV) and wouldnt need to limit to sites with adwords ads.. plus it wouldnt be illegal then, either..

seems there is no real benefit

Yeah I know what your talking about but I don't know any people that offer that traffic to the public.

@gts6 - they limit it because they want toolbar users to last, if they had an exit pop on every page the toolbar users will complain too much or go to big efforts to uninstall the toolbar. If only IABs, FB ads, text link ads were replaced then the toolbar user wouldn't even know the difference.

These ad units are sold thru any RTB like site scout....buzzdock being an example.. Babylon being another.....

and as far as replacing is concerned its highly suspect to do this...and most companies steer clear of this due to the fact court cases on this have not been favorable....most now just inject new ads or "push down" search results or banners ....or in the case of FB skins inject it in the news feed....

there is no trick to finding this traffic nor is it anything new.....the only thing you would want to look for is the parent company of the actual toolbars/software....thats how it can be listed on the exchanges....

in addition if your looking for specific page/site level targeting....you can try to use contextual targeting on your ad units.....depending on the software/toolbar and what they share with the RTB about the inventory they are selling....it will allow you to buy on specific sites....I cant say this will work well but its something you can try....it really depends upon the toolbar/software and not the exchange....

Just a quick look on SiteScout in their adplanner filter by "screensavers & applications" then web only ....some of those are IAB units generated by software
