This Noobs Need a helping hand...Anyone ?

Hey Friend,

I am running a campaign on adult dating market, and need bit of your help to understand basic stuff...

Here are some areas where i need your advice..

1. I am hosting my all images, tracking, lander pages at my vps... is it right way or should i load my images and lander separately ?

2. My landing pages are getting 30% CTR to my offer... is it normal CTR ? i have seen in this forum that 30% ctr is average ctr but still i am not getting conversion...am i missing something here ?

3. my traffic source is Traffic Factory..and i m targeting next to video slot, In TF i can see my CTR is pretty low ...even though i have tested few banners but still ctr is not increasing ...any advice to get it better results?

Additional information...
my banner size is
animated banner approximately = 100kb
static = 20kb

Note: I am doing mobile marketing and using imobitrax to track all data and our offer conversion rate is 10%-15%.

I would appreciate your input...

1) Fine for your landing page imo as long as you use a domain like fuckdatesforeverybody.com for your landers and not your tracker.
2) Hard to say. A LP with 30% CTR can easily outperform a lander with 50% CTR in terms of conversion rate. If it doesn't work though, look around what's out there, MODIFY not rip it and take it to a higher level. How many clicks is your 'no conversions' based on? How much spent per creative?
3) CTR low = test new images. Try to modify your banners so they're more eye catching and stand out. Not much to say here than test.

I had best results with non animated banners (think of changing images is ok, but video style never performed that amazing for me) and that's what you read a lot over the place. Those video style banners sometimes get HUGE CTRs but visitors might expect a video or whatever and not to sign up for an dating offer.

You said you're using imobitrax, so you running adult only on mobile or is that example referring to web?

If you are running mobile try tracking the OS , sometimes it can make a big difference even in adult.

Split test hosting all your static assets on a CDN. Rackspace, beyond, cloudflare all have good plans. For anything outside of the US your CDN hosted assets will almost certainly come out on top. For some reason the inverse is sometimes true in the US. I have no idea why but you should still test it.

This is ad format & sometimes geo specific. Bat for 40% but 30% can also work. How much traffic did you push to the offer?

Yeh traffic factory's algorithm has been whack the last few months so its difficult to comment without knowing how you're running it. Being a CPC network your CTR is always going to rule. What I will say though is check your ad rate and make sure that you are keeping creatives fresh to secure the volume. Ad rate is the function of your bid & CTR.

Remember there's no frequency cap on TF traffic so you're competing with the content guys who have more visually appealing creative (and probably more money).

Your CTR is low because 1) your ad isn't strong enough which in turn means 2) your ad rate is low and/or 3) your bidding too low and the algorithm is pricing you out of the lions share of unique IPs. If this is the case you could be behind 3 content guys, 5 other affiliates, 2 cams advertisers & 1 cock pills guy.

Now let's say your ads are not unique, what happens? You're pretty much bottom of the pile. Users have seen your ad 2,3,5 times before they see yours. Focus on getting a high CTR and work backwards. From there think about variations of that ad & the right path to convert the traffic.

Don't get too into the details here. I have had some heavy banners deliver some heavy weight volume. In terms of file size focus more on your path. Don't go overboard - testing new angles/drastic variations in your overall path will probably be a better use of your time right now.

That offer CVR isn't bad at all. You could make that work with volume. Sounds like your path and how your running it need some fine tuning. Split test your path and make sure you're testing different variables (bids/time/pausing & unpausing) at the traffic source.

You need to spend some time figuring out what is going to make TF tick. It's a bit of it's own beast but she gives it up if you tickle her in all the right places.

When tracking by OS, and cutting down to ISP's I've always found the traffic is literally stopped or becomes so expensive, do you prefer to cut ISP's or just tweak lander?

Generally I just track the OS , that can make a big change in ROI and not cut all the volume.
