I'm looking to try some game app installs, and the advertiser gave me a daily cap of a couple hundred $ until they can evaluate quality.
most of my mobile experience has been VAS and dating installs.
- for Vas I know quality tends to mean hitting the right handsets (e.g. smartphones) and carriers whose users tend to bill longer (e.g. avoiding wifi)
- Dating apps for me came down to genders & age groups.
But game apps? Not sure what to do to get my caps raised since it's all one OS & some apps actually may require wifi (not the ones I'm promoting, but just as an example). Not getting incentivized installs & no adult are no-brainers. What else? Are they referring to the traffic quality (e.g. less wapwhatever.com-type sites & more premium sites)?
App installs are tricky, the advertiser is finicky with those - on our network we have seen the trend to be when they come out , people hit them hard and then the advertiser turns around in 2 wks , re-evaluates traffic then optimizes based on the leads they have received on the backend. App installs with budget & longevity are harder to come by. I know it's not the simple answer you were looking for, but it's just a view that I've seen personally happen - it's a waiting game... stick to 25+ , women on slot type offers and guys for the MMO/saga gaming offers. I know age targeting can be harder on certain mobile traffic. Good luck to you!
