Hi everyone,
I came into a problem the last couple of days with mobile content offers on Google Adwords and can't figure out a solution. What I want to do is see all conversions made on the Adwords platform for easy optimization of placements.
As far as I know, Adwords pixel comes as img and js (Google Tag Manager support iframe and js) while mobile offers only accept postback pixel.
Placing an image pixel will fire conversions whenever someone submit his phone number regardless if the advertiser manage to bill them or not, that's why mobile offers accept postback mainly because then they can fire the pixel whenever they manage to bill the person.
Also comes the cookie problem, some mobile devices not supporting cookies will be lost if they convert through Adwords right?
So the ideal would be using some clickID token to make it cookieless.
Don't know if Adwords support such parameter let alone post is back to them.
Maybe someone sees something that I'm missing out?
Thanks
I can think of a few potential solutions (although I don't use Adwords that much so I don't know how effective they'd be), but they'd all require some coding.
Is that something you'd be able to get done/do, or are you looking for a solution that doesn't require software development?
I'm not heavy into coding, but if there is some already made script that someone can throw I can play around with it and test if it works.
Ah - if there is a script for this already, I don't know of it. You'll probably have to get some custom coding done to even try the ideas I'm thinking of, and frankly there's no guarantee they'd work!
Unfortunately this seems to be a fairly well-known problem, but one without a simple fix.
