Fapping My Way To 200$ A Day! (Adult Dating Follow Along)

What’s good my fellow internet hustlers and Stackers of paper?

Joined this forum a few weeks ago when I heard about the STM Adult Ad Scraper, which is a great tool. But I’m also very impressed by the knowledgeable and helpful community here. I dig the vibes here and plan to stay for a while so I decided it was time to contribute and start a follow along.

I’m new to affiliate marketing and everything I’ve learned up to this point has been self-taught. Since last fall I have been scouring blogs, WSO’s, forums, and the rest of the internets like a mad man for every precious gem of knowledge I can get my hands on. Through trial and error I pieced together enough of the puzzle to be somewhat proficient with DW, PS, P202, setting up servers ect. and have been running low budget test campaigns for the last 4 months.

For my first niche, I’ve decided to slay the beast that is adult dating. Everyone and their grandma is trying to make it in adult dating right now. This means lots of competition, but every niche that’s worth getting into has lots of competition and on the bright side it also means there are a lot of people to share ideas and mastermind with. Also, I predict that a lot of the competition will leave this niche as quickly as it came when the hype dies down and the next new shiny object appears.

Goal: 200$/Day by the middle of October (123 Days)

Tools: Dreamweaver, Photoshop, HMA Pro VPN, STM Adult Adscraper.

CPA Networks: ClickDealer, Peerfly

Tracking: P202

Hosting: Liquid Web Storm VPS 1GB RAM.

I host my landers on this 1GB VPS server and P202 on a sub domain on the same server. I know 1GB VPS is weaksauce but I don’t want to commit to paying for powerful hosting or CDN until I have consistent traffic and actually need it.

On a side note: How much volume can I confidently run on a server of this capacity (1GB VPS) without losing to many clicks and when should I upgrade?

I started with US traffic but quickly found out how competitive this market is and switched to European traffic. For now I’m focusing on getting France and Germany profitable for a few reasons:
1. These countries have a lot of quality offers to test.
2. These countries have relatively stable economies and a large population.
3. Traffic is cheaper than English speaking countries.

As of now I’ve not had much real success and most of my campaigns have been break even. I’ve been running campaigns in DE and FR but I have yet to make any significant profits. When I start a new campaign I will be profitable at the small scale but when I try to optimize and scale for more traffic I barely break even or end up at a small loss.

My current strategy goes like this: Run small test campaigns at a low cpc bid Monday – Thursday to test about 40 different banners. These campaigns are normally break even or have a small loss or gain of 10$ or so. My goal during these days is to find the best banners with the highest CTR (.27% or higher) while also being good converters (4% or greater S/U). I’ve found that the only way to get decent volume (and maximize ad-rate) without increasing my bid to unprofitable levels is to aim for the highest banner CTR possible.

Later in the week I increase my cpc bid a few cents and run my top 4 performing banners Friday – Sunday. The problem I’m having is that my banners will start out with a high CTR and a good ad-rate but after running them for 18hrs or so my CTR steadily decreases. The decreasing banner CTR lowers my ad-rate, which in turn significantly lowers my traffic volume (and conversion rate), unless I want to increase my bid causing me to eat into profits or run at a loss. This steady lowering of CTR and ad-rate seems to create a negative snowball effect that lowers banner CTR even more because my banners are placed deeper and deeper into the session depth of the site visitor and therefore less likely to be clicked.

I’m not exactly sure why my banner CTR lowers like this. Ad Burnout doesn’t make sense because of the short time span (I’ve only been running the same banners for 48 hrs or less).

As a given banner gets more and more impressions is it just natural that CTR will drop?

Should I only run traffic during the times of day that middle aged men (my target demo: men ages 30+ who have a job) are more likely to be surfing and avoid the late night lurkers who are less likely to click on banners?

What strategies do you guys use to combat this effect?

Right now it seems my best bet at getting profitable would be to get a payout bump, run these longer weekend campaigns like I have been doing and be happy with a small ROI around 10% or less for the time being. From my limited experience I get the feeling that these self -serve platforms are so competitive right now that in order to be profitable you have to spend a good amount of money per day i.e. spend 500$ on traffic and make 50$ profit. This would be doable for me I just have to get my cash flow systems in place and upgrade my hosting for increased volume levels.

Also, I know ROI can be greatly increased with a direct buy or purchasing through a full service agency but I don’t currently have the confidence to commit a large chunk of my savings to these larger buys nor do I have the infrastructure in place yet (powerful optimized servers, CDN) to handle such traffic volume. I also want to build and collect as many high converting, battle tested banners and landers as possible and establish a few solid offers before I go big and commit to a large buy.

That’s all for now. This post was a bit scattered but I wanted to let people know where I’m at and the current challenges I’m facing. I’ll be doing longer weekly updates on the weekends and shorter updates periodically throughout the week. These will include info on campaigns I’m currently running and any tips, insights or resources I come across. Thanks for reading and I hope this follow along will help and inspire others in the coming months.

Happy fapping my brothers.

Good luck man

Good first post! It's clear you've thought about this and you're going about it in a systematic way.

How much volume can I confidently run on a server of this capacity (1GB VPS) without losing to many clicks and when should I upgrade?
You can run a LOT of volume before you need to upgrade, if the server's intelligently set up. Beyond Hosting rate their 512Mb VPSes for 30,000 clicks a day - you should be able to manage 40-50k on an average VPS. What hosting company are you with?

You can actually check your potential volume before you begin - see How To Check How Much Traffic Your Server Can Handle.

Mate I've had same problems with Ctr dropping away really quickly on TJ I was going to move to TF but reading this I think I'll give it a miss now.

i m facing same thing, i have started my first campaign and got 10-15 dollar profit but that was one time boost so i start going with more banners so i can get more clicks but unfortunately things are still moving slowely and still have ($11.22) negative profit in tracking too..LOL , just launched 2 more campaigns hopefully this time it will turn out to be profitable..good luck for your journey.

Thanks for the replies guys.

Your the man caurmen! Your tutorials add a ton of value to this forum. I will be sure to implement that server test when I have some extra time this weekend. My hosting is Liquid Web, but I'm sure my server is far from optimized. I stumbled through setting up cpanel and p202 and have done nothing else optimization wise for my server.

Didn't get around to launching a campaign last night. I work full time so I have to squeeze my affiliate stuff in on the side where I can. I actually like my current job but unfortunately it puts me on the middle class get rich slow path that I am trying to rise out of.

For now I'm going to continue running traffic in FR because I'm pretty well dug in there with some creatives that are at least breaking even.

I've decided for the time being to try testing some offers in the less popular international countries. These countries may not have the scalability and high offer payouts that other countries do but I'm not looking to make thousands of dollars a day at this point. My goal is to find a untapped market with cheap traffic and less competition. Hopefully, with a little persistance I will be able break into one of these countries with a much smaller budget and hit my 50$ per day goal.

Hey everyone I’m not dead. I was a bit side tracked these last couple weeks and I feel lame for neglecting my follow along. First, I was on the road for a week for my day job. Then I took a few days off from work and IM just to relax, visit some friends and avoid burnout. I’m feeling nice and rested and eager to get back into my adult campaigns. I’ve found that this arbitrage game is very addicting and I now get a weird sense of restlessness If I’m not running traffic, optimizing my campaigns and working towards my goal of becoming a full time affiliate.

Earlier, I said I was going to explore cheaper and untapped markets and after some research Spain looks like a real interesting prospect to scale into. Traffic prices are cheap and there seems to be some nice offers for this country. Once I get France profitable I will definitely check this demo out.

The game plan for July is to focus all my resources on getting France profitable. My goal is to come out in the green 170$ for the month. This 170$ would cover all of my monthly IM related expenses (server, STM subscription, HMA subscription). Although this is essentially breaking even, this would be a huge sense of relief for me knowing that I can continue to learn and develop my skills without losing $$$ in the process.

I will be focusing all of my resources on one campaign, in one country and on one traffic source. This is the only way to crack into the market at my current budget. Looking back in the last few months I have been jumping from offer to offer and country to country hopping to stumble into an easy win campaign. I’ve since realized that in this niche there is no such thing as an easy campaign and I’m going to have to dig in and fight tooth and nail for every lead generated. I’m going to have to develop the most badass banners and a very high converting landing page to get leverage on my competition. I will be testing the shit out of banners and constantly updating my LP until I have a profitable campaign.

Some good news, due to some new work arrangements I now have a lot more time to invest into my affiliate marketing. Expect increased action in this follow along and updates more frequently. It’s time to put my nose to the grindstone. I need to get my ass in gear July-August-September if I want to reach my 200$ a day goal in October. Talk to you soon.

You should feel lame!

No no, haha, awesome to see you're back Drock. France is definitely profitable man, you just need a strong offer which is lacking at the moment for France it seems as cpm's have almost halved across the board since a few months back haha!

Looking very forward to some more updates man, look for the cheaper placements with not as much competition on them. Yes they're limited in terms of potential volume, but with a small budget you're not looking for volume you're looking for the best ROI you can get with the cheapest spend possible. Many people for example on TJ will run Youporn and Pornhub which are expensive and saturated, but they carry large volume when they could of tried a placement like xtremetube which is a lot less saturated and is a lot cheaper and you can get some nice ROI's

Awesome advice Maynzie. Your right, when I tested TJ I only bought traffic on PH and YP ntv placements. Looking at pricing it looks like KeezMovies, Spankwire, and Tube8 all have ntv placements for almost half the price of PH and YP! I will definitely test my best banners on these placements in the near future. Not sure why I didn't think of this before. Thanks maynzie!

Keep up the good work mate, and don't forget to split test offers on different networks

@ Dutch David: I plan on applying to adsimilis at the end of the month. I wan't to establish a good relationship with ClickDealer for the time being because they have nice payouts, they don't seem to scrub as much as some of the networks that are easier to get into and I'm starting to develop a good rapport with my AM. Also don't want to spread my budget to thin and want to get weekly payouts going.

Slow start today, getting back into the groove of things.

Made some modifications to my best performing landing page and I plan to split test it against the old page tomorrow.

Reformatted some of my top banners to TJ formats. Plan to do some small test campaigns on TJ tomorrow as Maynzie suggested above.

Tested 2 different offers, each earned around the same epc. Need more data to make a conclusive decision on which offer to run

As far as traffic goes...... Spent: 70$ Earned 62$ Totals: -8$
